Therein, the arising is born from the arising cause. Although there is also the acting cause, those are not always counted because they enter without distinction. As it appears in the commentary. A form possessor arises from both. It also arises only from the acting cause. If the elements give rise to the four elements, it is not only from the cause and condition, because that also pervades the acting cause, so think for yourself. Secondly, in the specific explanation of the immediately preceding condition, the mind of the three realms, which is the basis for establishing the condition and the conditioned, is divided into twelve types. Examining how any of the minds thus divided becomes the condition for what. Again, dividing into twenty, examining from the three aspects of finding, abandoning. First, the virtuous and non-virtuous mind of the desire realm, and the obscured and the unobscured indeterminate, four in total. In the form and formless realms, other than the non-virtuous, there are three each, six in total, plus the two of the uncontaminated learner and non-learner, thus all the minds of samsara and nirvana are included in the twelve types. Examining the limit of what arises immediately after what. There are two types of arising: one's own ground and another's ground. The first, at the time of continuity, two types of arising from the same ground. The latter has six occasions: entering into absorption, rising from absorption, linking, being afflicted by disturbing emotions in absorption. Belonging to the category of entering and rising in absorption. If the two of entering and rising of the emanation mind are counted separately, there are eight. Because entering into emanation is rising from absorption, and rising from emanation is entering into absorption. Therein, continuity means similar in kind, continuous, from virtue to virtue, etc. Same ground, although the kinds are not the same, if they are the same ground such as desire, then immediately after that own ground, all virtues etc. arise except for the emanation mind of desire of that own ground. At the time of absorption, from the virtuous application arising of the lower realm, the virtuous application arising and the uncontaminated of the higher realm arise. When rising from absorption, after the virtuous application arising and the uncontaminated of the higher realm, the virtue of the lower realm arises, that is, both virtues of the desire realm, and only the application arising of the upper two realms is certain to arise. When entering into emanation, as it says: pure and self, two arise from that. Thus, after the virtuous application arising of the form realm, the emanation mind of the desire realm.

And, there are only two types of minds in the form realm: emanation minds and unspecified minds. When arising from an emanation, the virtuous mind of the form realm arises in the wake of these two minds, because even after arising from an emanation, the mind of meditative concentration manifests. When connecting the continuum, the connection is made from the death state to the intermediate state and to the birth state. That is, the mind of death is the two uncontaminated ones, the virtuous application, and apart from the mind of skillful creation and emanation, the naturally born virtue of one's own realm, non-virtue, obscured unspecified, maturation-born, and behavioral ones are all appropriate. The mind of birth is "the existence of birth is afflicted," and "from the transfer of death, all afflictions" appear. Because the afflicted mind of that place is born wherever it is born, there are two: obscured unspecified and non-virtuous. When born from below to above, the mind of death is the virtue of being born, the unobscured unspecified, the maturation-born, and the behavioral one. The mind of birth is only obscured unspecified because there is no non-virtue above. When born from above to below, the mind of death is the same as above. If the mind of birth is born in the desire realm, then obscurations and non-virtues of all kinds are only obscurations in the realm above. In one's own realm, in one's own place, apart from the virtuous application and emanation creation, whatever mind exists in one's own place is the mind of death, and if one desires the mind of birth, there are two, and above there is only obscured unspecified. The two uncontaminated ones do not belong to either the mind of birth or death, because they are the antidote to existence. When afflicted by an afflicted absorption, virtue arises from the obscured unspecified of the higher realm to the lower realm. That is, from the afflicted of the form realm, both virtues of the desire realm arise, and from that of the formless realm, only the virtuous application of the form realm arises. These meanings should be kept in mind and definitely understood. Second, from the virtuous mind of desire as the immediately preceding condition, nine of the twelve minds can arise. In this way, in the ordinary course, when the virtuous mind of desire is the same as its own realm, the non-virtuous of desire and the other three. At the time of absorption, from the virtuous application of desire, the virtuous application of form and the two uncontaminated arise. At the time of connection, from the naturally born virtue of desire, the two obscurations of the two upper realms arise. The virtuous application of the formless realm does not arise from the virtue of desire, because the basis of the formless realm does not manifest the emanation mind of desire.
