I think this should be understood as being helpful to others. Fifth, is it not pre-existent, but simultaneous with the cause? All arising conditioned phenomena are the fruit of the conditioned phenomena themselves, because the unconditioned has no fruit, so it is said to be "only." This is also called "conditioned phenomenon's own fruit," summarized by one basis. Then, what is the difference between this and the puruṣakāra fruit? The Vaibhāṣikas say that the puruṣakāra fruit is only of the agent, while the own fruit can also be of other agents. Furthermore, the puruṣakāra fruit is the puruṣa made by the artisans, which is the fruit of both the agent and the own fruit. And the emanations are the fruit of both the agent and the own fruit of meditation, but others are not puruṣakāra fruits. This is determined separately. And the owner is, those are also the own fruit of all conditioned phenomena, because when they arise, all conditioned phenomena do not obstruct their existence. Although it is said so, this is speculation, and if so, then it should also become the own fruit of the unconditioned. However, the own fruit is general, and others are specific. Third, the way these fruits arise, is which time's cause produces the fruit, and the two ways in which the cause produces after it arises. First, the five causes other than the efficient cause hold the fruit in the form of a seed or potential at the present time. And the co-emergent and homogenous causes make the fruit fully manifest from now on. The present cause and the past cause produce the fruit, which are the homogenous causes, because all homogenous causes pass through the past, and the present immediately produces its own subsequent fruit. Only the vipāka cause is produced by the past, and the present never produces the fruit. That is, if it is the cause of the vipāka fruit, then it must be produced by the past. For the homogenous, we only consider the case where there is no interval, otherwise it is necessary to know that there is no simultaneous cause and effect in the present. If asked, is there a case where a virtuous homogenous cause holds the fruit but does not produce it? There are four cases: holding but not producing, such as the last virtuous attainment when cutting off the root of virtue. Conversely, the first virtuous attainment when connecting in the intermediate state (translator's note: the original text means "connecting," here referring to the intermediate state). Both exist. The remaining case when the root of virtue is not cut off. Neither, that is, the case of falling from a high position or cutting off the root of virtue. Some Abhidharma masters believe that the basis

For example, fruits depend on wind in the water, etc.; combination results, the former path generates the latter, etc.; the difference between action results and master results. Second, minds and mental afflictions 1, as well as those born from Vipāka, 2, the remaining 3, non-obscuring and non-indicating that are not born from Vipāka, skillful means, emanation minds, etc., and virtues other than the first moment of non-outflow; the first noble one, that is, the first four moments of non-outflow suffering Dharma forbearance, in the above order, except for Vipāka 1, are born from five causes; afflictions are not Vipāka results, and Vipāka results cannot have afflictions. Except for the pervasive cause 2, it is born from the remaining five; because it is not an affliction. All kinds of those two 3, except for the remaining four, are born; because they are not Vipāka-born and afflictions. All kinds of those two, equal cause, and three, except for the remaining three, are born; because it is virtue, and the previous similar kind has not preceded. All of these are in terms of mind and mental events. Apart from the corresponding cause, other than mind and mental events, It should be understood in the same way. Other than that, there are non-associated formations and form. The form and non-associated formations of the first moment of non-outflow refer to the initial attainment of non-outflow vows, as well as the attainment and characteristics of minds, mental events, and those vows. Third, explaining conditions, there are two: teaching and explanation. First, conditions are said to be the four such as cause and condition. Among them, the difference between cause and condition lies in the fact that when the result arises, permanence and impermanence, and benefiting the result in a common and uncommon way, are called cause and condition. The proximate condition is the cause, and the distant one is only the condition. The generator is the cause, and the condition is only the object. Although it is said so, there is no difference between the two, but only the difference in taming the inclinations of beings. From the perspective of the arising and accomplishment of the result, there is no difference in meaning. Therefore, cause, condition, basis, cause, similar cause, and result position are all synonyms. Second, the four conditions are generally stated, and the difference between the immediate condition.
