The meaning of piling up many dharmas is the characteristic of aggregates. As the sutra says: 'Whatever form there is, whether it is past, future, or present, whether it is internal or external, whether it is coarse or subtle, whether it is inferior or excellent, whether it is far or near, all of these are gathered together and fall into the category called the aggregate of form.' From this sentence to the aggregate of consciousness, it is said in this way. Among them, the meaning of the sutra is that the form is included in the three times such as the past, and the internal is included in one's own continuum, and other than that is the external. Or it is the form of internal and external sense bases. Coarse and subtle refer to being obstructive or unobstructed, or in relation to dust and so on. Inferior and excellent refer to having or not having afflictions. Far refers to the past and future, and near refers to the present. This is the saying of the Vaibhashikas. Similarly, one should understand up to consciousness. However, there is a difference here, the coarse and subtle of mind etc. depend on the senses and mind, or it is understood from karma. The Bhikshu says: The past etc. are expressed by their own names. Coarse and subtle are held by the senses and mind. Inferior and excellent refer to unpleasant and pleasant. Near and far refer to the appearance and non-appearance of objects. The same should be understood for feelings etc. From the five aggregates, the first three are time, internal and external are continuum, coarse and subtle are forms, inferior and excellent are realms, and near and far are places. The ability to carry the burden of actions in an instant and in dust, and the meaning of being completely cut off from the aggregates are all complete, so it is an aggregate. Or, because the aggregates are imputed, it is also thought that each one is not an aggregate. If the aggregates are imputed, then the dust form is not an aggregate, but a part of it. If it is substantially existent, then it is an aggregate. Relying on the six six causes of self-grasping, the fact that it becomes the door for the arising of consciousness is the characteristic of the sense bases. Cause or nature is the meaning of lineage, which is the characteristic of aggregates, sense bases, and elements. Second, the necessity of the general classification of aggregates etc., and the necessity of the special classification of feeling and perception, and incidentally explaining the rationality of not establishing unconditioned phenomena as aggregates, there are three aspects. First, the necessity is to dispel the three confusions, and the three senses, and the generality of the three desires, so the three such as aggregates are explained. Among them, for mind and mental factors,

To counteract clinging to oneness, hence the five aggregates. Among them, the mind is divided into four. For form, to counteract clinging, hence the sense bases. For both, to counteract clinging, hence the eighteen realms. Regarding these three, depending on which is emphasized in sequence, the first has a small degree of ignorance, being ignorant of subtle objects and similar types. The second has a medium degree of ignorance, being ignorant of coarse objects and similar types. The third has a large degree of ignorance, being ignorant of subtle and coarse objects, and all similar and dissimilar types, so it is said. For those with sharp faculties, it is taught condensed into the five aggregates, similarly, for those with medium faculties, the sense bases, and for those with dull faculties, the eighteen realms are explained. Furthermore, it is said that it is believed that it is divided into three because of the three desires: those who practice calm abiding like concise words, those who practice both calm abiding and insight like medium words, and those who practice insight like extensive words. Second, feeling and perception become the root of disputes in desires and views between householders and renunciates, and feeling, with attachment, accumulates karma, and that is also because of inverted perception, so those are the main causes of samsara, and because there are four reasons for showing according to the order to be explained below, therefore, among the mental factors, feeling and perception are separately established as aggregates. Third, among the aggregates, because it cannot be the meaning of many unconditioned accumulations, it is not explained, and that unconditioned is shown in the realms and sense bases. It is not shown in the aggregates because the five aggregates do not have their own characteristics, so they are not individually summarized, and it is not established as the sixth aggregate because there is no meaning of many accumulations. Furthermore, to know the basis of all afflictions, the five aggregates of appropriation are explained, and to know the basis of both all purification and non-purification, the aggregates are explained, and the unconditioned cannot be the meaning of those two, and in the sense bases and realms, it is explained because there is the meaning of the gate of birth and lineage in the manner of objects. Third, regarding the order. The order of the aggregates and the order of the realms and sense bases. First, regarding the order. First, form is form with obstruction, because it is coarser than everything, so it comes first. Then, because the experience of feeling is coarse, etc., so it is the order of coarse and subtle. From beginningless time, beings clearly like form. From that, because they taste pleasure and other feelings, they become attached. From that, pure.
