If one looks at form from the second dhyana upwards, then the first eye consciousness will manifest. Because the first dhyana practitioner does not need the eye consciousness of the desire realm, it is not necessary. The mere eye consciousness can see the form of its own place, as well as the upper and lower realms. Because the first eye consciousness can see the form of the upper three realms and the desire realm, but the desire realm cannot see the upper realms. Not only can consciousness see the form of all realms, but also the dependent body, the objects of the upper and lower realms can be seen as dependencies in all realms as appropriate, because by relying on the bodies of the five realms, namely the desire realm and the four dhyanas, one can see the form of these five realms. Just as the explanation for the eye, the same should be understood for the ear, and one should add that it is not the lower ear, etc., to the body. The three faculties of nose, tongue, and body apprehend by contact, so in general, all object consciousness is of one's own realm. Specifically, the body, the tangible, and the body faculty are of one's own realm. If one apprehends the tangible from the second dhyana upwards, then the body consciousness is of the lower first dhyana realm. If the desire realm and the first dhyana apprehend the tangible, then the consciousness of one's own realm apprehends it. The last three realms, such as mind, and their dependent body are not fixed in location, but exist as appropriate, and will be explained in the third and eighth places. Nineteenth, the two faculties of sense and mind are to be distinguished as the five external objects, while the remaining thirteen are to be distinguished by mind consciousness alone. Twentieth, among the eighteen realms, the unconditioned dharma realm is not momentary, so it is permanent, while the others are conditioned, so it should be known that they are impermanent. This seems to be a special case of "together with matter," which needs to be examined. Twenty-first, the half-life of dharma, faith, etc., and feeling, etc., and the three uncontaminated ones and fourteen, those realms that are said to be within the twelve are faculties, while the remaining half-life of dharma and the five forms, etc., are proven not to be faculties. The name of the second chapter. The words of the Dharma Collection. From the chapter, called the "Realm Chapter," is the explanation of the first place. The Realm Chapter.
