Thus it is said. The excellent perfection is the opposite of the six image-like qualities of non-excellence, from excellent giving to the wisdom that knows the characteristics of the Dharma without perversion, those that are well combined. Those perfections are said to be genuine perfections that are not artificial. Therefore, Bodhisattvas do not engage in artificial perfections that are pretentious and merely formal, but engage in genuine perfections that are not pretentious and without deceit, whose qualities are like gold without impurities. Therefore, it should be understood that those teachings from the perspective of both faults and qualities are for the sake of teaching the qualities of the antidote that are not mixed with such faults. Eleventh, the subduer, the Bodhisattvas who abide in the qualities of perfectly accomplishing the excellent perfections are able to subdue the opposing factors of the six perfections that exist in the minds of other sentient beings. Who subdues? Those wise Bodhisattvas. In what state do they subdue? In all the states of the ten grounds. By what means do they subdue? By closely accomplishing the Dharma of the six perfections, such as giving. Whom do they subdue? They subdue sentient beings. What do they subdue? They subdue the opposing factors of the six perfections, such as miserliness, as well as degeneration and artificiality. Twelfth, the differentiation of the prophecy of individuals, because of possessing the qualities of being extremely pure, the prophecy that is obtained is the prophecy by the difference of individuals and the prophecy by the difference of time. Thus, the prophecy that wise Bodhisattvas will attain unsurpassed enlightenment is twofold. Among them, the prophecy by the difference of individuals has four aspects: the prophecy of an individual who abides in the lineage, the prophecy of an individual who has generated the mind of enlightenment, the prophecy of an individual who has realized it, and the prophecy of an individual who has not realized it. The first of the four is that even though they have not generated the mind of enlightenment, they abide in the lineage, possessing the lineage and seeds of the six perfections, prophesying that they will attain unsurpassed enlightenment. Second, one who has generated the mind of unsurpassed enlightenment

Merely prophecies, the third is prophesying to someone who is actually gathered in the retinue of the Buddha, saying that so-and-so, you will become a Buddha in the future, named so-and-so. The fourth is not appearing in the retinue, but prophesying that a bodhisattva residing in another Buddha-field is named so-and-so. Prophesying that in the future there will appear someone named so-and-so, who will attain unsurpassed Bodhi, such as prophesying Nagarjuna and Asanga. There are two types of prophecy based on the difference in time: one is to determine the time, prophesying that unsurpassed Bodhi will be attained after so many kalpas or lifetimes; the other is not determining the time, prophesying when one will become a Buddha in the future. Furthermore, there are two types of prophecy: the Buddha himself prophesies that someone will attain great Bodhi; the other is prophesying that in the future a certain Buddha will give you a prophecy, which is called the prophecy of prophecy, and there are these two types. Furthermore, what is called the great prophecy is: the bodhisattvas who have attained the patience of non-arising dharma on the eighth bhumi, having abandoned arrogant pride, abandoned the effort of characteristics, and together with all those who abide in the pure state of the Buddhas and the sons, the bodhisattvas, without the attachment of different lineages, having become one in nature or essence, prophesying them is called the great prophecy. Having attained the eighth bhumi, one realizes that one will undoubtedly become a Buddha, and one prophesies to oneself that one will become a Buddha, therefore the Tathagatas prophesy, so it is called the great prophecy or the great prophecy. Furthermore, the manner of the types of prophecy is that the Buddha-field of the bodhisattva is named so-and-so, what is the name of the time of becoming a Buddha, when will one become a Buddha, what is the name of the kalpa of the time of becoming a Buddha, how many are the retinue of that Buddha, and how long will his Dharma abide, etc., that is what is called prophecy. Thirteenth, what is undoubtedly certain is that the bodhisattvas

Although one does not desire temporary enjoyments etc. other than attaining the unsurpassed enlightenment, it is certain that one will undoubtedly attain the six kinds of results of the six perfections in all lifetimes in between until one attains the ultimate great enlightenment. What are the six? A wise bodhisattva who properly practices the six perfections will certainly attain abundant enjoyments such as Brahma, Indra, and a wheel-turning king as the result of generosity wherever they are born. As a result of discipline, one will certainly be able to be born in whatever place one desires, such as gods and humans. As a result of patience, one will certainly not be discouraged by suffering for the sake of others. As a result of diligence, one will certainly always meditate on or become accustomed to virtuous Dharma. As a result of meditation, one will certainly attain samadhi and never fall away from it. By the power of meditation, one will attain the power of direct perception such as miracles, and one will certainly accomplish the work of benefiting sentient beings. As a result of wisdom, one will certainly attain the spontaneously accomplished patience of non-conceptual wisdom. In the lower paths, non-conceptual wisdom is an undisputed similar aspect, and it is certain that it will be attained on the eighth ground. Fourteenth, the classification of what must be done without doubt: What must be done without fail because without doing it one cannot attain unsurpassed enlightenment is called what must be done without doubt. What are the things to do? Offering to the Tathagatas with material wealth and with devotion of mind is something that must be done, and this is a category of generosity. Maintaining the discipline of having taken vows correctly without degenerating is something that must be done, and it is something that must be done without doubt. Similarly, cultivating patience with the desire to eliminate the suffering of sentient beings out of compassion; cultivating worldly and transworldly virtue with diligence; similarly, in order to attain meditation, dwelling in a secluded monastery free from distractions and abiding in mindfulness; in order to perfect wisdom, relying on a virtuous spiritual friend and listening to the Dharma of the scriptures such as the Sutras, and never being satisfied with its meaning, is the
