Third, practicing generosity and so on with a sense of gratitude: Bodhisattvas, in benefiting sentient beings in this way, should not think, "I have benefited sentient beings," but rather, "These sentient beings whom I have benefited have benefited me." Because without sentient beings to benefit, I would not be able to perfect the accumulation of unsurpassed bodhi. Because by benefiting them, I can attain unsurpassed bodhi, so they have bestowed a great benefit upon me. Fifth, the intention of non-contamination is: Bodhisattvas, in benefiting others in this way through generosity and so on, do not expect repayment, nor do they expect the ripening of the fruits of the heavenly realms, but rather act in this way for the benefit of sentient beings, without attachment to their own benefit. Sixth, the intention of virtue is: Bodhisattvas, in performing such vast acts of generosity and other virtuous deeds, do not wish to enjoy the fruits of them alone, but rather completely dedicate this root of virtue, wishing that all sentient beings may attain the fruit of unsurpassed bodhi. Just as the six intentions of generosity are, so too should the practice of morality up to wisdom be cultivated in the same way. Whoever it may be, if the three thousand great thousand worlds are filled with flames, and there is a constant lack of the resources that bring happiness, such as the antidote of water, in such a place, not only experiencing the suffering of one's own body, but experiencing the suffering of bodies equal to the sands of the Ganges. The time is not hundreds or thousands of kalpas that can be counted, but the length of time of kalpas equal to the sands of the Ganges. It is not accomplished by one action, but by the four actions of walking, standing, sitting, and lying down, from the beginning of morality in a single instant, until the aggregate of morality is completely perfected, which will ultimately lead to the attainment of unsurpassed bodhi, one should not think that it is sufficient to merely perfect the aggregate of morality. Wisdom should also be cultivated in the same way, without satisfaction, and vastness, etc., as explained in common above. Fourth, meditating based on skillful means: Whatever paramita is practiced, it should be from the perspective of not clinging to the three circles of that, although three methods are explained from the perspective of skillful means, in reality it is completely grasped by non-conceptual wisdom, that is, to cover all mental activities and Buddhas with this.

In order to accomplish and purify all dharmas, it is called means. Fifth, relying on the power of mastery, that is, at the time of obtaining power in the three pure lands, one practices the paramitas effortlessly and naturally. Relying on this, one ultimately attains the perfect body, speech, and mind in the state of Buddhahood, and for the benefit of sentient beings, one engages in the six paramitas effortlessly and naturally. Among them, there is mastery over the body, conduct, and teaching. The former is the Dharmakaya and Sambhogakaya, the latter is the Nirmanakaya, and the third is the mastery of teaching the Dharma through speech. Sixth, Explaining the distinctions of the six paramitas, although there are countless internal distinctions among the paramitas, if we make a brief distinction, each paramita also has six aspects such as nature. Therefore, each paramita is also explained by two verses, that is, explained by twelve verses such as "Giving up all things." Regarding the detailed distinction of the giving paramita, the nature or essence of giving is to give up external and internal things or objects to the field of merit, the field of benefiting, and the field of suffering. The cause or place is relying on the mind of the three roots of virtue such as non-attachment, and the result is obtaining a perfect body and enjoyment. The function is to benefit others, and to be reborn in other places to obtain great enjoyment, thereby taking care of both oneself and others. Through the giving of wealth and Dharma, one perfects the accumulation of merit and wisdom. What it possesses is that giving is also possessed without difference from non-stinginess. The distinction is that explaining the meaning of the scriptures without confusion is the giving of Dharma, giving up external and internal objects is the giving of wealth, and protecting from the fear of kings, thieves, fire, water, etc., is the giving of fearlessness, that is, three forms. Having fully understood the essence and cause of giving in this way, learned Bodhisattvas will truly practice it. The essence of ethics is having six branches, that is, abiding in having ethics, the Dharma is perfect, the realm of conduct is perfect, using Pratimoksha vows to
