It is also wonderful to have the thought of abandoning what is difficult to abandon. That is, for the sake of one's own generosity, giving up or abandoning the body, and likewise, for the sake of morality, giving up the body and relatives, etc., which are perfect, up to the wisdom of non-discrimination. The long-lasting wonder is that it is also wonderful to have the thought of practicing the vast conduct of the perfections for three countless eons. It is also wonderful not to expect a return in this life for one's own sake, even though one practices the six perfections. Likewise, it is also the four wonders not to expect ripening in the future. Other categories, such as being born into a lineage, are also as stated in the text. The four non-wonders are: just as the fruit grows from planting, it is the nature of cause and effect and dependent origination, so it is not very wonderful. Likewise, it is not very wonderful to obtain the fruit of enlightenment, immeasurable qualities, from the cause of practicing immeasurable perfections. It is wonderful if one benefits others as oneself because one holds oneself and others as unequal. However, having abandoned the perception of self by meditating on the antidote for a long time, and seeing oneself and others as equal, it is not very wonderful to benefit sentient beings as oneself. Compared to ordinary sentient beings, the Bodhisattva's benefit to the supreme Brahma and Indra, etc., is not accepted in return for the worship and honor offered by Brahma, etc., because he is free from attachment and regards it like a lump of spit. He benefits sentient beings, so how can he expect a return? He benefits sentient beings with compassion, so it is not wonderful that he does not expect a return. It is also not very wonderful not to expect ripening, because those Bodhisattvas do not desire worldly ripening, because they are sure to obtain the three bodies and the unpolluted bliss that transcends the world. By "being equal to sentient beings," etc., one makes one's mind equal to sentient beings without near or far, and abiding in the perfections is meditation and attention. This is shown by impartiality to those who seek meaning, etc. By "seeing oneself as a great being," etc., if one practices the six perfections, there is only happiness and benefit, and it will not turn into a harmful thing at all. Therefore, the Bodhisattva benefits all sentient beings in six ways, only with benefit and happiness.

Seeing it as a great being is to focus on the great being. This is like the verses in the chapter on merit, about benefiting as a vessel itself, and the examples of the ways of benefiting, such as mother, father, and root, etc., as shown in seven ways. By saying "others' merits once," after placing others in the pāramitā, if others possess the merits of the six perfections, then these bodhisattvas will think: these beings have accomplished their own wishes, therefore these beings have benefited me. They only expect others' merits as a return for the benefit. They do not wish for other returns, thinking how wonderful it would be if beings possessed the merits of the pāramitā, therefore they make them mature in this way. If beings mature, then these beings have accomplished the bodhisattva's wishes. This is called the intention of wanting a return, that is, if beings are placed in the pāramitā, then possessing the merits of the pāramitā is the return to the bodhisattva, and no other return can be considered a return. Because the bodhisattva has no other expectations of return. This is shown from not being attached to enjoyment, etc., and benefiting as a return in the same way. The third is aspiration, which is the intention of hope or the intention of desire. What is desired? They hope and desire these three: they hope or desire all beings to reach the ultimate of the bodhisattva ground, they hope to reach the ultimate of the buddha ground, and they hope to benefit beings. The first of these, from the first ground, the perfection of generosity is completed, therefore they hope to reach the ultimate of the ground of generosity, until the tenth ground, the perfection of wisdom is completed, therefore they hope to reach the ultimate of the ten bodhisattva grounds. The second, they hope to obtain the fruit of reaching the ultimate of the buddha ground after surpassing the ten grounds. The third, they hope to benefit all beings from the time of the bodhisattva and after becoming a buddha. This is shown in the scriptures with one verse, such as "constantly increasing." Constantly. It means that it is not like sometimes practicing the pāramitās and sometimes not practicing them, but like the continuous flow of a river, practicing without interruption, this is called continuous intention. This is the meaning of the teachings and following the teachings that will not be exhausted.

In between, one practices, that is, it is explained by the single verse: "Fears are dispelled, true arising, etc., the Buddha's son is always not in vain." In order to accomplish the Buddha's teachings, the bodhisattva who does not dwell on this shore refers to accomplishing the pure nature of the paramitas as the Buddha said. First, from the generation of bodhicitta, to hearing and thinking, and until the final attainment of Buddhahood, practicing the paramitas, without abandoning the middle, diligently striving, is proper attention. In the sutra, from "charity without hope," etc., to "the proper conduct of all teachings" has been explained. Therefore, the bodhisattva who does not dwell on this shore refers to even if practicing generosity, etc., not desiring its fruit, such as the enjoyment of samsara, etc., not dwelling on the realm of activity of this shore and attending to it. This single verse is not seen in the explanation, and it is not known where it should be attributed. It seems that it should be merged upwards, please observe. With those inferior and superior sentient beings, dislike and self-joy. It means that with that paramita, if one sees the practice of the paramita declining, then one is not happy, that is, one attends to dislike. If one sees sentient beings whose practice of generosity, etc., is increasing and flourishing, then one rejoices in this, that is, one attends to joy. In the sutra, these two are explained by two verses such as "these two enjoyments, greed and." Likewise, cultivating the artificial and the true, disbelief and faith. It means that one does not believe in the image or false cultivation of the six paramitas, that is, one attends to dislike. False refers to impure giving, or making gestures of giving, etc., up to impure wisdom. Generating faith in the cultivation of the true paramitas is attending to joy. These two are as stated in the two verses such as "transformation and." Not accepting attention means that if stinginess, etc., the opposing factors of the paramitas, arise in one's own or others' minds, then one subdues them with the power of the antidote of wisdom, not accepting, that is, not accepting attention. This is as stated in the one verse such as "those wise ones, all the earth." Prediction refers to the Tathagatas' prediction of the lineage.
