The nature of reality, suchness, this realm of dharma is without distinction in the minds of all sentient beings, existing primordially. However, the suchness that is purified by adventitious stains is the Tathagata himself. Therefore, all sentient beings possess the essence of suchness, the nature of luminosity. Thus, the uncontaminated realm of the Sugata-garbha is free from change, diminution, and increase in all three times. Therefore, the ultimate, completely pure wisdom body of the Tathagata is constant, stable, peaceful, and unchanging, and is accomplished for this reason. Ninth, regarding the immeasurable qualities of wealth, there are two topics: the distinctions of wealth and the explanation of its various categories. First, the wealth of merit and wisdom accumulations and the supernormal cognitions of the Shravakas overwhelms the two accumulations of worldly beings and the wealth of supernormal cognitions of hermits, etc. The wealth of the Pratyekabuddha level also overwhelms the wealth of the Shravakas, because it is superior and vast. The wealth of qualities of the Pratyekabuddha cannot match even a hundred or a thousand parts of the two accumulations and supernormal cognitions of the Bodhisattvas; it cannot be compared in terms of examples, numbers, or causes. The wealth of the Bodhisattvas cannot match even a portion of the wealth of the Paramitas of the Tathagatas, which are the complete two accumulations, supernormal cognitions, powers, fearlessnesses, and other immeasurable qualities. Although the wealth of qualities of the Bodhisattvas is extremely immeasurable, when compared to the wealth of qualities of the Buddhas, the difference is like the difference in size between a single atom and limitless world realms. Why is this so? Because the wealth of the perfectly enlightened Buddhas is immeasurable in terms of the beings for whom it acts. It is not for the sake of a limited number of beings, such as one or a hundred, but acts for the benefit of all immeasurable sentient beings. The places where it acts are also immeasurable; it can act wherever space pervades the world, so it is inconceivable. How it acts is also inconceivable, with skillful means and supreme emanations, and various forms.

Because the play of its activities is immeasurable, like the dispositions of those to be tamed. The extent to which it enters is also immeasurable, because it benefits and brings happiness to all sentient beings, so the amount of benefit it bestows is countless. The time it enters is also immeasurable, because it will constantly engage in benefiting others until the end of all sentient beings is reached, and therefore the end of sentient beings is impossible to reach. Therefore, the wealth of the Buddhas is: for whom they enter, where they enter, how they enter, how much they enter, and when they enter, even the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas cannot fathom, because it is very profound. It is inconceivable, that is, beyond the realm of thought, and because it is vast, it is considered to be an immeasurable number that cannot be completely distinguished. Secondly, taking the seven categories of wealth arising from the transformation of the basis as an example, the meaning of the eight verses that show the immeasurable is: When the eyes and other faculties are transformed into another state and are completely purified, each faculty can enter into all the meanings of the faculties, and will obtain the excellent wealth of one hundred and twelve qualities of seeing the aspects of all objects. Previously, when the faculties had not been transformed, the eye faculty could only see forms, and could not cut off the objects of other faculties such as sound. At the time of transformation, the eye faculty can grasp all forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and tactile objects, so it can enter into all the meanings of the faculty's objects. The one hundred and twelve qualities, in the 'Commentary on Intelligence,' it is said that even one faculty can possess one hundred and twelve qualities, as stated in the 'Sutra of Holding Mantras' and the 'Lotus Sutra,' so understand it in that way. Some people think that adding the major and minor marks together makes one hundred and twelve, and some think that the qualities of earth, etc., are not the qualities of the faculties, so they are not related to this context, as the former said, be certain. Furthermore, dividing it into six directions, and dividing each of those into ten directions, for the five meanings, taking the eye as an example, the eye's ability to see forms is not a special characteristic, so it is not counted. Because it grasps the four: sound, smell, taste, and touch, the eye has two hundred and forty qualities. Adding all five together makes one thousand two hundred, becoming twelve groups of one hundred each. From the 'Lotus Sutra,' it says, starting with the fleshy eye born from the merit of receiving that Dharma.
