It is combined with this. The so-called "intention of action" refers to the chapter with skillful means, and the six perfections of the Perfection chapter that gains power through generosity and the like. It is combined with the objects of gathering that ripen all sentient beings. Offering, serving, and love, these three are as they appear in the chapter on immeasurable offering and serving. From shame to distorted clinging, up to the abandonment of the seven, it is as it appears sequentially in the chapter on the aspects of enlightenment. Furthermore, the two kinds of attention, wonder and non-wonder, are explained. As indicated by "Wonder and non-wonder, there are four aspects of consciousness," there are four ways of attending to the consciousness of wonder, and there are also four ways of attending to the consciousness of non-wonder. Even attending to these expands the realm of the six perfections. Similarly, all attention expands the realm of the ten perfections, as indicated by the verse at the end, "Arising from the cause of the ten perfections," and so forth. It should be understood that there is no need to mention each one individually. What are the four kinds of consciousness of wonder? As indicated in the chapter on qualities, "For the sake of one's own body and discipline," and so forth, it is also a wonder to engage in the consciousness of abandoning what is difficult to abandon for the perfections and so on. Abandoning or giving away the body for the sake of one's own generosity, similarly, abandoning the body and relatives and other perfect things for the sake of ethics, up to non-conceptual wisdom. The long-lasting wonder is also the wonder of engaging in the consciousness of practicing the vast conduct of the perfections for countless eons. Even if one practices the six perfections, it is also a wonder not to expect a reward in this life for oneself. Similarly, not expecting maturation in the next life is also the four wonders. There are also other kinds, such as sprouting according to lineage, and so forth, as stated in the text. There are four kinds of non-wonder: just as the sprouting of fruit from planting seeds is the nature of cause and effect and dependent origination, so it is not a great wonder. Similarly, it is not a great wonder to obtain the immeasurable qualities of enlightenment as the fruit of practicing immeasurable perfections. If one clings to the inequality of oneself and others, it would be a wonder to benefit others as oneself. Because one has abandoned the clinging to self by cultivating the antidote for a long time, and sees oneself and others as equal, therefore, how to treat oneself

It is not so amazing to benefit sentient beings. Bodhisattvas benefit Brahma, Indra, etc., who are superior to ordinary sentient beings. In return for the benefits bestowed by the Bodhisattvas, Brahma, etc., make offerings and show respect, but the Bodhisattvas do not accept them. Because they are free from attachment, they benefit sentient beings as if spitting out phlegm. How could they expect to be repaid? Because Bodhisattvas benefit sentient beings with compassion, it is not surprising that they do not expect repayment. It is also not surprising that they do not expect karmic results, because those Bodhisattvas do not desire worldly karmic results, as they are certain to attain the three bodies and undefiled bliss that transcend the world. "Being equanimous towards all sentient beings" means that one is without partiality towards sentient beings, maintaining equanimity and establishing them in the pāramitās. This is the practice of contemplation, which is explained by impartiality towards those seeking meaning, etc. "Seeing them as great beings" means that practicing the six pāramitās brings only happiness and benefit, and does not turn into something harmful. Therefore, Bodhisattvas benefit all sentient beings in six ways, solely with benefit and happiness. Seeing them as great beings is to contemplate them as great beings. This is like the verses in the chapter on qualities, such as acting as a vessel for benefiting others, and the seven examples of how to benefit others, such as mother, father, root, and branches. "Repaying the kindness of others once" means that if others are established in the pāramitās and possess the qualities of the six pāramitās, these Bodhisattvas will think, "These sentient beings have benefited me, because they have accomplished their own wishes." Hoping that others possess qualities is to repay that kind of benefit. They do not desire other repayment, but only hope that sentient beings possess the qualities of the pāramitās. Wouldn't that be wonderful? Therefore, they cause them to mature. If those sentient beings mature, they will fulfill the wishes of the Bodhisattvas. This is called the contemplation of desiring repayment, which is to establish sentient beings in the pāramitās. If they possess the qualities of the pāramitās, they have repaid the kindness of the Bodhisattvas. There is no other way to repay kindness, because Bodhisattvas have no other expectations of repayment.
