Since it does not exist there, all phenomena are merely appearances in the mind, therefore establishing mind-only. Sixth, completely seeking the nature, which is shown by eight verses such as "The Buddhas for sentient beings." The Buddhas, in order to benefit sentient beings, bless them with wisdom that is not confused about the nature of knowable things, and for the sake of benefit, they correctly explain by thoroughly distinguishing the basis, nature, and what is to be represented. What is that? The basis to be represented by these three natures, their respective essence or nature, is limited to these five bases of knowable things. Namely, the basis of form, the basis of the primary mind, the basis of attendant mental factors, the basis of non-associated formations, and the basis of the unconditioned. The basis of form is the five sense faculties and the five objects, which are the ten sense spheres of form. The basis of mind is the eight aggregates of consciousness. The basis of mental factors is the fifty-one mental factors. Non-associated formations are like explaining the twenty-three such as attainment and non-attainment. The unconditioned is the cessation of discrimination, the cessation of non-discrimination, space, and the four suchnesses. Among them, "mind is" indicates the basis of mind. "With seeing" indicates that when the mind sees an object, it needs the object, faculty, and attention to be complete, therefore indicating the mental factors and the five faculties and five objects. By attending to the appearance of the object, it indicates the basis of mental factors. The five faculties and the five objects, namely the five objects of form, sound, smell, taste, and touch, these ten indicate the basis of form. The state of that indicates the state of mind, mental factors, and form. In the attainment and non-attainment, commonality, life force, and person, etc., which are imputed as neither matter nor consciousness, belonging to the category of conditioned phenomena, it indicates the basis of non-associated formations. "Unchanging" indicates that because of the unconditioned by causes, it is separated from the three of arising, abiding, and ceasing, therefore the basis of the unconditioned whose essence never changes. These five bases, if summarized, are the nature. Because there is no knowable dharma that is not included in this, it is the three natures. It is considered the basis for establishing. In the commentary of Lodro Tenpa, "mind is" indicates the five faculties and five objects that appear to be grasped by the mind, and the six aggregates of consciousness that appear to be grasping. "With seeing" indicates

The mental factors are pointed out, and it seems to explain the meaning of entering the object with the nature of clarity and fluctuation. Some translations also say that the nominal base is the signified, because it is to be represented by the three natures, so these two can be considered to have the same meaning. If we subdivide these nominal bases, there are countless kinds, because each one can be divided into countless differences, such as the mind and form, etc., the continuums of sentient beings, and the various distinctions of time and place, like the number of knowable things, it will become endless. The characteristics of these five nominal bases, if briefly summarized, are of three kinds, namely, the completely imputed, the other-powered, and the thoroughly established. These three are the aspects of these dharmas appearing as dualistic, the cause of appearance, and the aspects of not being established as dualistic, as the three ways of existing as nature or essence. What are they? First, the characteristic of the completely imputed is: although the actual meaning of the external object does not exist, but only the appearance of the conceptual mind expressed by the names of pillars, vases, etc., recognizing that it is that thing, and then like "This is a pillar, this is a vase," etc., from the reason of the perception that is established in meaning, the completely imputed arises, that is, the perception of name and sign, this is one aspect of the nature of the completely imputed. Similarly, the habitual tendencies caused by them are also included in the completely imputed, because they are the cause of unreal conceptualization. From the maturation of the habitual tendencies that have been familiar since beginningless time, the things of pillars, vases, horses, cattle, etc., will actually appear, and those who are proficient in words will mix them with names and cling to them, and those who do not understand words, even if they do not say the name, the thing will appear as if it can be mixed with the name, this is also the completely imputed. In short, from the awakening of the habitual tendencies of the proliferation of various dharmas that appear as dualistic, clinging to the names and signs of the various dharmas that appear as dualistic, and clinging to them as they appear, this is the nature of the completely imputed. The definition of the completely imputed is: what are the name and the thing like? What do the name and the thing appear as? For example, how does the name of a vase, etc., appear as the thing with a bulging belly? Even if the thing is not actually seen, merely uttering the name "vase" will cause one to think that there is a thing with a bulging belly, which is the cause of unreal conceptualization. If you see a thing with a bulging belly
