Just as it arises from the great lotus king of jewels equal to the fingernails of ten fingers, the son of the wheel-turning king, who has a name, is placed on a golden throne. Various jewels are adorned, and with songs and music, the ocean water is poured from the crown of the head with a golden vase. Just as the king anoints the royal family from the crown of the head, so too, for that Bodhisattva, the Buddhas, the Bhagavad-s, immediately after anointing with great light, manifestly anoint with the empowerment of wisdom, which is called empowerment. He perfects the ten powers and enters the ranks of the perfectly enlightened Buddhas. Thus, and so on, it is extensively taught. Third, the method of perfecting the three trainings in the ten bhumis is: In the first bhumi, the direct realization of the truth of dharmata is the basis for purifying all trainings. Then, in the stage of other bhumis, here in the second bhumi, one trains in higher ethical discipline. If one does not dream of the appearance of immoral conduct even in dreams, what need is there to mention reality? Thus, ethical discipline is extremely pure. The third bhumi trains in higher mental discipline, because one has attained meditation and samadhi without falling away. The fourth, fifth, and sixth bhumis primarily train in higher wisdom. In the fourth, there is special wisdom from meditating on the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, and the object of the wisdom of meditating on the factors of enlightenment is also twofold: in the fifth bhumi, one trains in the suchness of dharmata and the four noble truths, while the sixth bhumi is the ignorance and so on that do not know the meaning of dependent origination, and the meaning of reversing the cessation of actions by stopping ignorance with the power of knowledge and wisdom. Therefore, the object of wisdom is the four truths and dependent origination. Therefore, these two abide in the fifth and sixth bhumis. In the subsequent attainment, one trains in the various trainings, and in equipoise, one meditates on non-conceptual wisdom. Its fruit is fourfold, namely, abiding in the signless yet still abiding in activity is the first fruit of the seventh bhumi. Signless

The eighth bhumi is considered the second fruit, as it effortlessly accomplishes and completely purifies the Buddha-field. The ninth bhumi is the very accomplishment of maturing beings by teaching the Dharma with four individual perfect knowledges, which is the third fruit. The tenth bhumi is the accomplishment of the supreme of samadhi and dharani, which is the fourth fruit, that is, the supreme fruit of becoming the peak of all bhumis. Thus, these four kinds of fruit are truly dependent on the four bhumis from the seventh to the tenth. Fourth, the way in which the five uncontaminated skandhas are practiced in the bhumis is: when the nature of reality is thoroughly realized in the first bhumi, it is the basis of all uncontaminated skandhas, so it should be realized as such. Here, in the second bhumi, the skandha of discipline is completely purified. After the second bhumi, in the third bhumi, samadhi is practiced, and in the fourth, fifth, and sixth bhumis, the skandha of wisdom is practiced as before. Other than those bhumis, in the four bhumis of the seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth, the skandha of liberation, which is liberated from the four obscurations, is practiced. For the four bhumis such as the seventh bhumi, the obstacles to obtaining the four kinds of fruit just mentioned, which are no sign and no effort, and maturing beings and obtaining dharani samadhi, are the appearance of subtle signs, and effort, and not obtaining the perfect knowledge of maturing beings, and not obtaining mastery over dharani and samadhi. In order, when the four bhumis such as the seventh bhumi are obtained, since one is liberated from those obstacles of the unfavorable side, and even subtle signs do not appear, etc., those four are the practice of the skandha of liberation. In the Buddha-bhumi, the habitual patterns of the illusion of dualistic appearance are destroyed by the Vajra-like Samadhi uninterrupted path, so that one is also liberated from the obscurations that obstruct all knowable dharmas, and therefore, it is the practice of the skandha of liberation wisdom. Thus, from the seventh bhumi to the tenth, the skandha of liberation is practiced, and in the Buddha-bhumi, it is established as the practice of the skandha of liberation wisdom. Liberation is the discrimination of abandoning obscurations.
