If one were to abandon one's body in the midst of a blazing fire and experience the feeling of suffering, I would tell you about the words of the Dharma, the conduct of the Bodhisattvas taught by the Buddha, which is practiced in its entirety. If that Bodhisattva, for the sake of practicing all the conduct of the Bodhisattvas taught by the Buddha, were willing to abandon himself from the world of Brahma, even if the entire three-thousand great-thousand world system were filled with fire, what need is there to mention an ordinary pit of fire? Even if he were to experience all the suffering of sentient beings in hell, if I were to seek the Dharma, what need is there to fear being accompanied by the suffering of fire? Just like that, having attained the fourth ground. At this time, seeking the Dharma with such intense thought also leads to distraction and pride in one's mind. Because the focus of practicing the Dharma is on the Dharma related to Bodhi, in order to eliminate the pride of thinking, "I diligently seek the Dharma," this person is one who has abandoned pride in the Dharma. A person who abides on the fifth ground is called a person without pride in different lineages. At that time, because he has attained the ten pure equalities of mind, he understands that the lineages of the Buddhas of the three times, the Dharma of the Tathagatas of the three times, and the lineages and their Dharma of the Bodhisattvas who abide on the fifth ground are without difference in the nature of purity. Therefore, this person is one who has no pride in the distinctions of lineages. The ten pure equalities of mind are explained in the fifth chapter of the Ten Bhumi Sutra: "O sons of the Victorious Ones, the Bodhisattva who has completely perfected the path of the ground on the fourth Bodhisattva ground enters from the fifth Bodhisattva ground and enters into purity with the ten equalities of mind. What are the ten? They are as follows: the pure mind of the Dharma of the Buddhas of the past, similarly, the Dharma of the Buddhas of the future, the Dharma of the Buddhas who appear in the present, the pure mind of morality, the pure mind of mind, the pure mind obtained by eliminating views, hesitation, and doubt, and similarly, the pure mind obtained by knowing the path and the non-path."

, and the thought of knowing to diligently abandon, and the thought of cultivating the Dharma of the Bodhi side from above, and the thought of maturing sentient beings. After these four, add purity and equality, and thus ten are said. Its meaning is that the Buddhas of the past and others purified the Buddha Dharma, and similarly, the Bodhisattvas who have attained the fifth ground also believe that we will be like them, and the three studies of the Buddha Dharma and others will soon be purified, and they will attain such a thought. One who abides on the sixth ground is called a person who has no attachment to distinguishing between defilement and purification. Because when abiding on that ground, one obtains ten kinds of Dharma equality, therefore one realizes emptiness arising from interdependence. Regarding emptiness, due to ignorance, actions and others are placed on the black side, and the cessation of ignorance and others are placed on the white side, realizing that there are no two kinds, and everything is unborn, becoming one in the nature of emptiness, so there is no attachment to distinguishing between defilement and purification.

As it is said, "Whatever dharmas, in an instant, are completely fulfilled." Thus it is. The bodhisattva who abides on the eighth ground is called the one who purifies the fields, abiding in equanimity, because he abides in the spontaneously accomplished samadhi that does not revert in any aspect. He abides in effortless equanimity and diligently cultivates the purification of the Buddha-fields, like a ship entering the ocean without effort. As it is said in the sutras, he demonstrates the blessing of adorning all world-systems with all ornaments and being extremely pleasing. The bodhisattva who abides on the ninth ground is called the one who is skilled in maturing sentient beings, because he has attained the four individual perfect knowledges and has become a great preacher of dharma to all sentient beings, being skilled in maturing them. The bodhisattva who abides on the tenth ground is the one who has attained great power of clairvoyance, has fully obtained the body of dharanis and samadhi, the cause of obtaining the dharmakaya, and is skilled in definitely showing the deeds of the Buddha, from abiding in the Tushita heaven and descending into the womb, etc., to the manifestation of enlightenment, and is the one who is empowered by the great rays of light by the Tathagatas. It is said in the sutras that he obtains hundreds of thousands of kotis of clairvoyant accomplishments through clairvoyance. If he wishes, he blesses the narrow world-system to become vast and the vast world-system to become narrow, and so on. And those ten doors of liberation, etc., and countless hundreds of thousands of doors of liberation. Likewise, he obtains the doors of samadhi and dharani. The bodhisattva who abides on this cloud of dharma ground, in one world-system, from abiding in the Tushita heaven, to transference and passing away, and entering the womb, etc., to manifesting enlightenment, and exhortation and turning the wheel of dharma, and up to the place called the great complete nirvana, blesses according to the intentions and discipline of sentient beings as they should be. Moreover, as soon as he manifests, three thousand great thousands
