As it is said, "Practicing immeasurably, purifying immeasurable Buddha lands, causing sentient beings to ripen immeasurably," and so on. After attaining the eighth bhumi, the characteristic of the ninth bhumi is: because of attaining the four individual perfect knowledges, there is no obstruction in teaching the Dharma, therefore, causing sentient beings to fully mature is accomplished, and it is established in this way. Likewise, it is also said in the sutra: The Bodhisattva of good intelligence who abides in the Bodhisattva bhumi is a great Dharma speaker and protects the treasury of the Tathagata's Dharma. Because he possesses the wisdom of possessing the method of Dharma speaking and possesses immeasurable skillful means, he teaches the Dharma by manifesting the four individual perfect knowledges of the Bodhisattva. He, with the individual perfect knowledge of Dharma, thoroughly knows the self-characteristics of all Dharmas. With the individual perfect knowledge of meaning, he thoroughly knows the distinctions of all Dharmas. With the individual perfect knowledge of terms, he thoroughly knows how to reveal the Dharmas without confusion. With the individual perfect knowledge of eloquence, he thoroughly knows that the concordant continuity of all Dharmas is not interrupted. And so on, extensively explained. The characteristic of the tenth bhumi is: it is established as attaining the immeasurable doors of samadhi and dharani. At the time of attaining the tenth bhumi, one attains the stainless samadhi of the Bodhisattva, as well as the immeasurable doors of samadhi such as the Great Vehicle Manifestation, and these samadhis become the cause or place for the manifestation of many qualities such as supernormal powers, therefore they are called doors. Similarly, one attains the inexhaustible treasure dharani, as well as the immeasurable doors of dharani such as the door of boundless dharani, these dharanis are able to not forget and hold the words and meanings spoken by the Buddha, and become the cause for revealing various Dharmas to sentient beings, therefore they are called doors. It is said in the sutra: "O sons of the Victorious Ones! The Bodhisattva who possesses such wisdom and has received empowerment will manifest the stainless samadhi of the Bodhisattva." And, "The samadhi of the Bodhisattva is the Buddha who is now manifestly abiding."

It is called "manifesting activities," and so on. A Bodhisattva abiding on this tenth ground will thoroughly attain countless immeasurable doors of liberation, such as those doors of liberation and so on. Similarly, one will attain hundreds of thousands of samādhis and so on, and attain hundreds of thousands of immeasurable dhāraṇīs. Thus it is said. The eleventh ground, the ground of Buddhahood, is established as the nature of great Bodhi that is utterly pure, possessing the wisdom of inexhaustible knowledge of non-arising, having abandoned the two obscurations together with their habitual tendencies. In the Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra, it says: Having abandoned the faults that exist on the husk, that is the first and second grounds. Having abandoned what exists on the bark, that is the third and above. The state where the faults that exist on the heartwood are completely abandoned, and all the predispositions of that are completely non-existent, I have explained as the Buddha ground. Thus it is said. Through these establishments, one should understand what the characteristics are from the first ground to the ground of Buddhahood. Second, the establishment of the individuals abiding on the ten grounds: The individual abiding on the first ground is called a Bodhisattva with extremely pure view, because they have attained the non-conceptual wisdom that realizes the two selflessnesses. The one abiding on the second ground is called an individual with extremely pure ethics, because even the slightest transgression does not occur. Similarly, the one abiding on the third ground is an individual who is always in equanimity, because no matter where they are born, they do not deviate from having attained meditative absorption and samādhi. The one abiding on the fourth ground is an individual who has abandoned pride in the Dharma. This is because in the time of the third ground, the respect and seeking for the Dharma is like this: possessing wisdom that is especially and thoroughly examined, day and night one listens to the Dharma, seeks the Dharma, contemplates the Dharma, and practices according to the Dharma. For the sake of the Dharma, there is not even a little bit of not giving up external and internal objects. There is nothing that one does not respectfully serve the speaker of the Dharma. Towards the Dharma and the speaker of the Dharma, with the perception of being difficult to find and rare, one accepts with extreme respect, and there is not even a little bit of disrespect or arrogance. For example, if someone tells you that there is a huge pit of fire burning everywhere,
