Furthermore, just as a teacher himself is learned and very proficient, thereby taking other students under his wing; in order to be in accordance with the dispositions of those to be tamed, he teaches all the Dharma of the three vehicles, just as a proficient teacher teaches students whatever Dharma they desire; to engage in the practice of accomplishing shamatha and vipashyana yoga is like a good teacher teaching students quickly without delaying. Towards all sentient beings, not always showing an angry face and evil deeds, but showing a radiant and beautiful face, is like a teacher loving students, always smiling and speaking gentle words. Even if one does things for sentient beings, one does not wish for rewards to help oneself in return; one does not look to the ripening of the fruits of helping others to ripen on oneself, just as a teacher lovingly teaches students the Dharma and does not look to material things. In this way, through these five actions, the princes are like the teachers of all sentient beings. Bodhisattvas are very diligent for the benefit of all sentient beings, making those sentient beings who have not completed the two accumulations complete the accumulations, just as a Khenpo makes students renounce the household and gives the precepts of a novice monk, and makes them renounce. Causing those who have accumulated merit to quickly be liberated on the ground of fruition is like a Khenpo causing students to be ordained as fully ordained monks after they have renounced the household. Guiding and subduing sentient beings, causing them to abandon the opposing factors of the six perfections, the path to attaining liberation and nirvana, is like a Khenpo showing students the opposing factors of the precepts, such as defeats, remainders, and downfalls, and causing them to abandon faults. Bringing sentient beings together with the perfections of the world and the non-worldly is like a Khenpo helping students with material things and the Dharma. In this way, just like the five actions of a Khenpo, through these five actions, for the benefit of all sentient beings, the sons of the Buddhas are said to be like the Khenpos of all sentient beings. The fifth, repaying the benefit, is: Bodhisattvas place sentient beings in the perfections, thereby sentient beings

If help is given, the way in which those sentient beings, without regressing, practice the perfections, is how they repay the bodhisattva. It is like this: the bodhisattva gives resources, making sentient beings have resources, and those sentient beings are grateful to the bodhisattva. Similarly, when sentient beings have possessions, if they give without attachment to possessions, the bodhisattva will think that these people have helped sentient beings, and will be grateful to them. Similarly, when the bodhisattva places sentient beings in morality, those sentient beings do not regress from morality, and even if they cause various harms to the bodhisattva, they have no intention of harming, because this becomes the cause of patience. They abide in patience with gratitude, just as the sentient beings placed in patience also endure in this way. If sentient beings are placed in diligent practice, meditative practice, and wisdom practice, just as they are grateful to the bodhisattva, the bodhisattva places them in the practice of these three, and they also strive to practice in this way, so they are grateful to the bodhisattva, as the commentary says. In short, those sentient beings who practice the six perfections in this way, for the bodhisattvas, just as the bodhisattva gives help to each of them, they also repay the bodhisattva in the same way. Practicing the perfections in this way makes the bodhisattva completely satisfied. The bodhisattva does not want other ways of repaying with wealth, etc., so sentient beings also practice the perfections in this way with a mind of gratitude to the bodhisattva, and the bodhisattva also thinks that these people have helped me, and thus knows their kindness. It is said in this way. This is also a special quality of the bodhisattva, namely, the expectation without seeking reward. Sixth, the way of expectation is: the five expectations of the bodhisattva are: always expecting and hoping how the six perfections will increase in the minds of oneself and others, and how the uncommon qualities of the six perfections will
