When a person rides a horse, both go to another place; water and a boat are connected, wherever the water goes, the boat follows, just like that. Moving due to the force of propulsion, like the wind carrying grass and leaves to other places; moving due to its own nature or essence, like going directly from one place to another; fire rising upwards into the sky, and water flowing downwards to low-lying areas, just like that; moving through power, like mantra practitioners going to different places through the power of mantras, or through the power of substances, taking medicine or applying it to the body to reach other places, magnets moving iron, pulling it upwards or directly and moving it, or going to different places through the power of magical abilities, just like that. Therefore, all coming and going should be understood as momentary. The seed of samsara and having the seed of samsara itself, in the momentary continuum, the previous moment ceases, and the later moment arises with its state, therefore it is reasonable to consider the moment as impermanent. Without arising and ceasing, to exist, a seed is impossible. Or, for things without arising and ceasing, it is impossible for a seed to have existed before. Therefore, all phenomena with the seed of existence are also established as momentary. Previously, the mindstream of samsara had a seed, which was destroyed by the path and transformed into a state without a seed, which is reasonable for the mind to be momentary. If the mind is not momentary, and the essence of the mind is permanent, then the final skandha of the arhat with remainder is impossible, because previously there was a seed, and later there is no seed, just as it is impossible to have birth before and no longer have birth later. Therefore, the arising of the continuum of skandhas without the seed of samsara is also established as momentary. The images that appear in the realm of meditative absorption are also established as momentary because they follow the mind. Therefore, all internal conditioned phenomena are merely a momentary continuum. Second, in order to prove that external conditioned phenomena are impermanent, there are three verses: the four elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, and the six objects of sense, form, sound, smell, taste, touch, and phenomena, including non-manifest form, are also said to be momentary. Water is small droplets and

Rivers, ponds, lakes, and pools, etc., gradually dry up and diminish due to causes such as winter and spring, as well as droughts, etc., and gradually become full and increase due to factors such as summer rains, etc. Therefore, they are of an instantaneous nature because they have increase and decrease. If it were not of an instantaneous nature, but rather permanent, then there would be no increase or decrease. The wind also, by its nature, does not remain still in one place, but rather moves and travels in any direction, therefore it is instantaneous, and there are times when it increases more and more, and there are times when it decreases more and more, therefore it is instantaneous, because it is not reasonable for something permanent to have movement and increase or decrease. The earth arises in dependence upon the elements of fire (藏文:ང་,梵文天城体:अग्नि,梵文罗马拟音:agni,汉语字面意思:fire) and water, and is related to them, and because there are four complete transformations in its nature, it is established as impermanent by its instantaneous nature. If you ask how water and wind arise, at the time when the world first formed, fire (藏文:ང་,梵文天城体:अग्नि,梵文罗马拟音:agni,汉语字面意思:fire) moved in the sky, and thus the realm of fire (藏文:ང་,梵文天城体:अग्नि,梵文罗马拟音:agni,汉语字面意思:fire) was formed. From the realm of wind, water arose, and rain fell like the continuous turning of a chariot wheel, and thus the mandala realm of water was formed. From the foam churned by wind and water, the earth, Mount Meru, and the four continents were formed, therefore the realm of earth arose from water and fire Thus, both the cause and effect arising from the cause are instantaneous. Observing the four types of changes arising from the earth: Observing the changes due to the differences in karma: Sentient beings, gods, who have accumulated virtuous karma, perceive the earth as soft and smooth like cotton, while hell beings, who have committed non-virtuous deeds, see the earth as burning hot iron, as well as cliffs and thorns, etc., as various sources of suffering. On the earth in the human realm, crops, etc., do not grow at times when there is no plowing or labor, but once labor is applied, good crops grow, this is like the first change. Striking with hammers and hoes, etc., causes holes and depressions to appear, this is the second change. Being burned by fire (藏文:ང་,梵文天城体:अग्नि,梵文罗马拟音:agni,汉语字面意思:fire) or baked by fire (藏文:ང་,梵文天城体:अग्नि,梵文罗马拟音:agni,汉语字面意思:fire) and becoming uneven, and the phenomenon of being moistened by water and collapsing, is the third change. The change brought about by time: In good times, the earth can also grow good grains, etc.
