Therefore, I will not repeat the detailed explanations again. If there is no continuity of moments, one will not go to other places; it is sufficient that one does not go from that place to another. To summarize what is said in the commentary, just as flames spreading on grass appear to go from one mountain to another, but it is merely considered that the moments of fire arising from each blade of grass are continuous, just as there is no permanent and singular entity called fire that goes to other places. Similarly, beings experiencing various lives in samsara, and going to different places, are merely taking the lives of the continuity of aggregates, and the uninterrupted continuity of the moments of aggregates reaching other places; there is no permanent entity called a goer that goes to other places. If the goer causes the aggregates to go to other places, thinking, "I will go to that side," that agent moves the aggregates of the body and goes to that direction, so if there is no goer, there is no act of going, because an act does not arise without an agent. If it is thought that the act is the cause of the aggregates going to other places, does the goer cause the aggregates to go to other places after being born, or does he cause them to go before being born? If it is the former, then at the time when the dharma called going arises, the aggregates are still staying in place, how can it cause them to go to other places? It is unreasonable to think so. If it is thought that the aggregates are not staying, but have the nature of going to other places, then how can there be another goer other than the place where the aggregates have already gone? This cannot be determined. If the goer has not yet been born, how can it cause the aggregates to go to other places? Because at that time there is no going. Again, showing other ways of reasoning, does the goer himself stay in place and transfer the aggregates to other places? Or does he stay in other places and transfer the aggregates to other places? If it is the former, if he himself stays in place and does not go to other places, how can he cause the aggregates to reach other places? Just as a horse causes a person to reach other places, the horse

It is like not being able to send a person to another place without leaving this place. The goer dwells in another place, which means he has already gone there. The aggregate of formations dwells in this place, and has not yet gone, so how can the goer and the act of going, with different places, cause other places to go? It is like an eastern horse sending a western person to another place. Furthermore, between the aggregate of formations and the act of going, does the act of going arise first and then move the aggregate of formations? Or does the aggregate of formations arise first, and then the act of going arises later and moves it? Or do the two arise simultaneously and then move to another place? Among these three situations, if it is like the first situation, when the act of going arises, the aggregate of formations to be moved has not yet arisen, so what is moved? It is like not being able to raise a son who has not yet been born. If it is like the second situation, when the aggregate of formations arises, the goer has not yet arisen, so it cannot be moved, just as a horse that has not been born cannot move or send a person to another place. If it is like the third situation, like the left and right horns of a cow, the two arise simultaneously, and neither causes the other to move, and the two go to another place together, so the act of going does not cause the aggregate of formations to go at all. Therefore, the five aggregates going to another place in a momentary continuum is called going. The five aggregates themselves are also called the goer, and there is no other goer besides the aggregate of formations appearing to go in a continuum. Just as there is no difference between a limb and a substance with limbs, although there is none, it should be known that it is merely nominally existent. These are briefly recorded as they appear in the commentaries of Vasubandhu and Sthiramati. Therefore, since there is no other goer or going besides the momentary continuum of things going, it should be known that going is momentary. In general, there are many ways of going to another place. Going by the power of mind is: causing the formations to go to another place by making the mind the cause. It is like putting down the steps of the body with the thought of walking and going to another place. Going by the power of previous karma is like the intermediate state beings going to the mother's womb and so on. Going by the power of projection is like an arrow shot going to another direction. Going by the power of connection
