Like the earth is non-discriminating wisdom, because it abides in the complete pacification of all objects. A Bodhisattva who possesses such qualities, like a Chakravartin king, is one who enters or dominates those qualities. He is always surrounded and endowed with the seven limbs of enlightenment, like the seven precious royal possessions. Fourth, the condensation of the seven limbs into five limbs also explains the meaning of the term 'limb'. Discrimination of Dharma is the limb of self-nature, because it is the self-nature of realizing the essence of enlightenment. Mindfulness is the limb of the place, because in the past, in the stage of aspiration and conduct, one does not forget the Dharmas, and the ultimate of repeatedly remembering and familiarizing oneself, from that mindfulness of the great supreme Dharma, all the limbs such as discrimination of Dharma arise. Third, diligence is the limb of definite emergence, because by the power of diligence, one transcends the stage of aspiration and conduct and definitely arises in the first ground. The mindfulness and diligence of the first ground itself are the mindfulness and diligence of the ultimate result of the mindfulness and diligence of aspiration and conduct. Fourth, joy is the limb of the benefit of realizing the Dharmadhatu when the first ground is attained, because by its power, a special joy arises in the mind. Pliability, Samadhi, and Equanimity, the three aspects, are the limbs of non-affliction. When the body and mind are extremely pliable, being separated from the bad place of the obscurations of affliction and knowledge is what makes one free from affliction, or it is the place of non-affliction. Samadhi is where one abides and becomes free from affliction, that is, when one abides in Samadhi, it eliminates the afflictions of sinking and excitement, etc. Equanimity is the nature of non-affliction, because when one abides in a state of equanimity, there is no affliction whatsoever. Seventh, the eightfold noble path is: right view is the noble path, similarly, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right Samadhi are the noble path. Among them, right view is the perfect discrimination of Dharmas on the path of seeing.

Meditating by focusing on the very Dharmadhatu equality that directly realizes the selflessness of persons and phenomena through the wisdom of [insight]. Having right view as the cause, it becomes the cause for definitely liberating from the three realms. Thinking about and desiring higher ethics, mind, and wisdom, and thinking without afflictions such as desire, hatred, etc., is right thought. After truly understanding right view and right thought, speaking for the benefit of other sentient beings, and abandoning faults of speech such as falsehood, harsh words, divisive speech, and idle talk, is right speech. Abandoning the three misdeeds such as killing from the aspect of body, and entering the path of liberation, is right action. Abandoning all wrong livelihoods such as flattery and pretense, is right livelihood. Relying on right view, right thought, right action, and right livelihood, by meditating, in order to abandon the two obscurations to be abandoned, constantly meditating on the noble path is right effort. Not forgetting the meaning of the dharmas that have been truly understood, and appearing clearly in the mind, is right mindfulness. Placing the mind one-pointedly on the Dharmadhatu suchness is right samadhi. These eight, during conduct, should abide in right speech, right action, and right livelihood. When abiding inwardly in samadhi, one should meditate on shamatha and vipashyana. Among these, right view, right thought, and right effort are on the side of vipashyana. Right view itself is vipashyana, and right thought and right effort are the retinue of vipashyana. Right samadhi and right mindfulness are on the side of shamatha; right samadhi is shamatha itself, and right mindfulness is the retinue of that shamatha. After explaining the eightfold path, it is explained below in two verses beginning with "Thus." After obtaining the first bhumi, from the second bhumi onwards, meditating on the eightfold noble path, that is, with the bodhyanga of discriminating awareness, following the true realization of the two selflessnesses, thereby realizing and meditating on the Dharmadhatu itself, is right view, that is, right.
