Furthermore, since each of the perfections has six aspects such as nature, each perfection is also indicated by two verses, that is, by the twelve verses beginning with "giving up all things." Regarding the classification of the perfection of generosity, the nature or essence of generosity is the field of merit, the field of benefiting, and the field of suffering, and it is the act of giving away outer and inner things. The cause or basis is the three roots of virtue, such as non-attachment, which rely on the mind, and the result is the attainment of a body and resources that are complete. The function is to benefit others, and in future lives to obtain great resources, thereby taking care of both oneself and others. Through material and Dharma giving, one perfects the accumulations of merit and wisdom. What it possesses is that generosity is also possessed by non-stinginess and non-difference. The distinctions are that explaining the meaning of the scriptures without error is Dharma giving, giving away outer and inner things is material giving, and protecting from the fears of kings, thieves, fire, water, etc., is fearlessness giving, of which there are three types. Having fully understood the nature and cause of generosity, wise Bodhisattvas will practice it correctly. The essence of ethics is having six branches: abiding in ethics, having complete Dharma, having complete conduct, being restrained by the vows of individual liberation, seeing even the slightest fault as fearful, and taking up the foundations of learning and studying them correctly. That is, first, to protect ethics correctly. Second, to possess the proper use of Dharma robes, etc., and not be blamed by the holy ones. Third, to abandon entering the five places that are not the field of conduct, such as prostitution, butchery, and selling alcohol. Fourth, this is in terms of the ethics of definite renunciation. Fifth, not to be defiled by even the slightest fault. Sixth, to fully study all the trainings. The cause is being possessed by the intention of peace and renunciation. The result is to obtain happy migrations, and through a mind without regret, to accomplish the samadhi of the mind abiding through the door of the touch of happiness in this life, and to give. The function is the great earth.

Just as the letter "Ga" is the basis of all things, it becomes the basis of all virtuous dharmas, pacifies the suffering of afflictions, and there is no fear of transgressions and enmity in this life, and no fear of the three lower realms in future lives, these are the three. The characteristics it possesses are: possessing the accumulation of merit of abiding in the virtuous deeds of the three doors of body, speech, and mind. Entering or classifying is: through supplication and request, receiving the Pratimoksha vows from the Khenpo and Acharya, which is the nominally established discipline; the two disciplines of Samadhi and Anāsrava are the disciplines obtained by Dharma-nature. Like this, the individuals who are the basis abide in the discipline, others do not have it. Having fully understood such discipline, the wise should practice it correctly. The nature of patience is: the patience of not being angered by the harm of sentient beings, the patience of not caring about suffering, and the patience of not being afraid of the meaning of the profound Dharma, becoming the nature of these three. The reason is: because of generating compassion for sentient beings, one does not become angry or annoyed by harm; by abiding in discipline and relying on the Dharma that has been heard, the other two patiences will arise. The result benefits are truly explained as five: without fighting, there is no hatred; with many friends, there are not many disputes; happiness of body and mind in this life; dying happily; the five benefits of being reborn in a good realm after death. This patience abides in one's own happiness and does not bring suffering to others, so it can accomplish the benefit of oneself and others, this is its function. Among all austerities, it becomes the most important quality and is fully equipped, this is the meaning. For the patience that was previously spoken of in terms of nature, it is considered to be three categories. Having fully understood such patience, the wise should practice it correctly. The nature of diligence is: truly rejoicing in virtuous dharmas; the reason is: having faith and belief in virtuous dharmas, and relying on wanting to practice it; the result is: causing all qualities such as mindfulness to increase more and more; the function is: completely becoming the antidote to afflictions; the characteristic it possesses is: possessing all pure qualities such as non-attachment. For these diligences, the classification is seven types:
