Some call this unflinching. When teaching the Dharma, one is exceedingly joyful because one is not weary from sorrow of mind or discomfort of body. Through mastering all fields of knowledge without exception, one explains whatever knowledge is asked without obstruction, thereby extensively demonstrating all meanings, or because of demonstrating pervasively, it is called extensive or pervasive. One benefits sentient beings who have not generated roots of virtue and are tainted, and one enables all untainted sentient beings to comprehend the meaning, therefore it is untainted. Because the Dharma is always spoken without interruption, it is continuous or constant. Through many kinds of names, words, and letters, one performs or plays, therefore it is called majestic or playful or performing. Even with a single utterance, gods, nagas, humans, animals, pretas, and other sentient beings hear it in their respective languages, thus perfecting all sounds. A single utterance enables each individual to comprehend the meaning they wish to understand, thereby satisfying or fulfilling all the faculties of those sentient beings. The vow that was initially made is ultimately fulfilled, and it is never abandoned or wasted midway, therefore it is unblamable or not blamed. Furthermore, just as it is said that if one enters this path, one will obtain this fruit, in the same way, the meaning is certainly obtained, so sentient beings cannot say it is not so, and it is not to be blamed, and it should also be understood in this way. When a disciple is ready to be tamed, one instructs them at the appropriate time, therefore one does not forget this purpose, and one does not waver or change from benefiting others. One does not speak unreasonably or badly, nor does one speak too quickly or hastily, therefore it is steady or not hasty. Just as those who are near hear the sound clearly and well, neither too loud nor too soft, so too, those who are far away, and other disciples who are in extremely many other world realms, hear it in the same way as those who are near, therefore it is spoken to all the retinue, or it is renowned throughout the entire retinue. Because there is no obstruction in teaching the Dharma, one uses all things as examples, thereby completely revealing all meanings, so it is endowed with the supreme of all aspects, thus there are sixty in total. The Buddha's way of teaching the Dharma through speech has eight aspects: demonstrating the nature of meaning, etc.

It is very reasonable to explain the difference between name or speech and meaning, such as the statement "the pillar is impermanent," and to demonstrate it in a way that is consistent with valid cognition. To explain in a way that is fully in accordance with the meaning or root, to explain by briefly indicating, and to explain by elaborating or distinguishing its meaning, to dispel doubts through reasoning, and to possess the characteristic of repeatedly making arguments, and to explain by understanding through mentioning the beginning, and to explain to all understandings by elaborating, there are eight. The meaning of these is explained in the sutras. To add. To fully establish. To distinguish. To explain in detail. To make clear. To show. To fully and completely show, as it is said. Through the name, the essence of things is expressed, and through words, the difference is shown. For those who follow faith, it is explained by words that "all conditioned phenomena are impermanent." For those who follow reason, proving impermanence itself through reason is to be combined with the root or meaning, or to be added by valid cognition. Just by briefly indicating, the body is fully established. Its meaning is distinguished in detail and extensively. Then, dispelling doubts is to explain in detail. In order to understand the meaning correctly, elaborating through various ways of explaining, and repeatedly showing many times, is to make the meaning very clear. Just by mentioning the beginning, only the key points of the meaning are briefly shown. By elaborating to understand all, elaborating in detail and explaining extensively, is to fully and completely show, or to fully proclaim, as it is said. So, through what are the first two explained? How are the subsequent four explained? To whom are the last two explained? In this way, these eight ways of teaching the Dharma by the Buddhas are purified by the three wheels of who teaches, how to teach, and to whom to teach. The Buddha himself teaches the Dharma with perfect non-discriminating wisdom, but because there is no attachment to these three wheels, it is very pure. Moreover, it should be known that the Buddha's teaching of the Dharma is free from the eight faults of speech. What are the eight? Attachment to sleep and clinging, etc.
