Speaking according to what has been heard means speaking based on the scriptures. From the first to the seventh bhūmi, speaking through the power of realizing the dharmadhātu itself. In the three pure bhūmis, speaking the Dharma through the power of spontaneously accomplishing non-conceptual wisdom and clairvoyance is called the three modes of speaking. Furthermore, from the blessings of those with power such as the eighth bhūmi, the sound of Dharma being taught arises from the sound of songs and musical instruments from one's own mouth and the mouths of others. From any object such as walls and parts of musical instruments, the sound of Dharma also arises. Even from the sky, the sound of teaching the Dharma arises. Secondly, the two verses, such as vastness and abandoning doubt, mean that by hearing much, the vastness related to the Dharma and its meaning is shown or clarified. Because one has no doubt about the Dharma, one can dispel the doubts of others. Because one abides in the Dharma, others deem his words worthy of being heeded, and being able to listen to his words is also called pleasing. Possessing these four—showing the very nature of defilement and purification—is called the perfection of a Bodhisattva's teaching of the Dharma. As stated in the Brahma-paripṛcchā-sūtra, because of hearing much, in order for the holy Dharma to abide long in the world, the Dharma is extensively taught. One's own wisdom becomes sharper and sharper by teaching and studying the Dharma, thereby cutting off the doubts of others. Because one abides in the Dharma, one performs the deeds of a holy person, thereby others value his words. By showing the nature of the four truths, namely the conventional and ultimate truths, it is of great significance. Furthermore, the nine aspects of perfect Dharma teaching are: When a supreme Bodhisattva teaches the Dharma, even if refuted by others, he does not utter harsh words, therefore he is gentle. Even if praise, respect, etc. are obtained, he is free from arrogance. He is not discouraged by fatigue when teaching the Dharma, he teaches without concealing examples, and he teaches the meaning completely, therefore he is clear. He teaches various meanings without repeating them. He teaches in a way that is not contrary to valid cognition, but is logical. He expresses himself with words and letters that are widely known in the world, so that others can understand and obtain them well, and he has abandoned the desire for profit and respect, so he is free from entanglement. He is skilled in all vehicles, therefore he is

The meaning of all three is pervasive, and one who possesses such qualities is called the perfect teacher because they speak of good meaning. Good speech is indicated from "prince's speech" etc. to "it is called perfect letter." It means that the words of the sons of the Buddhas when teaching the Dharma are not inferior or bad, not like a small voice that some people hear and some people do not, but are heard pervasively by all the retinue. Pleasant means that the words are gentle, pleasing to the ear, and pleasing to the mind, which is good. Well-spoken or beautifully spoken means that the words are clear so that the meaning can be understood. If words that are not popular in the world are spoken, others will not understand, but if the meaning is understood by speaking in words and languages that are popular in the world, it is called popular. Teaching in accordance with the disposition of the trainees is called appropriate or suitable, and if taught in this way, it will come to their ears. Not looking at gain and respect means without contamination or not relying on contamination. If there are too many, it is boring, so the words are neither too many nor too few, and easy to understand is consistent. Similarly, expansive means that when explaining in detail, one can explain without exhaustion. The sutra says that the eight qualities of speech are pervasive, good, clear, knowable, audible, non-dependent, consistent, and inexhaustible. It should be understood by combining it with the above. Not relying on gain and respect is a quality of the mind, but it is said and praised to those who seek gain and respect, and if there is no gain and respect, they do not teach and slander, etc. It is not like that, so it is necessary to say that these words are not contaminated by this cause? There are also eight qualities of the way of speaking, which is to say that the main points are summarized, so it is easy to grasp the main points. Similarly, by explaining those meanings in detail, one can gain certainty in the meaning. For the three types of trainees, each of them is taught the vehicle, which is to say that it is in accordance with the vehicle. It is easy to listen to because the order of words, letters, and meanings is not confused. It is taught with completely popular words and letters. Teaching in accordance with the disposition of the trainees, as appropriate or suitable. Teaching the Dharma of the noble path that is definitely arising from the three realms. And following the eight noble paths
