The six skillful means are: to transform the small roots of virtue of sentient beings into immeasurable fruits; similarly, to accomplish great roots of virtue with small effort; to pacify the anger of those who are hostile to the teachings; to lead those who hold an intermediate attitude towards the teachings into them; to ripen those who have entered; and to liberate those who are ripened. The commentary says that wisdom itself enters in a special way and is called means, aspiration, power, and wisdom. Only in the case of thorough discernment is it called Prajñāpāramitā, but not otherwise. Therefore, the special entry of Prajñā is regarded as the latter four pāramitās. Here, the means is similar to the special entry of Prajñā through the dependent arising of the noble ones. In the Madhyamakāvatāra, the seventh ultimate bodhicitta is explained. The second part includes: the way to attain the eighth bhūmi, the way the praṇidhāna-pāramitā remains on that bhūmi, and the distinction of the qualities of that bhūmi, in three points. The first point is: Again, from the previous seventh bhūmi onwards, in order to obtain merit beyond virtue, the bodhisattva enters the eighth immovable bhūmi, where he becomes irreversible from enlightenment by obtaining the kṣānti of non-arising dharmas. For example, one needs to sail intentionally before reaching the ocean, but after reaching it, one does not need to sail intentionally. Just as the land that was labored for a hundred years before, here it is decided in a day and night. After reaching the ocean of bodhisattva conduct, with spontaneously accomplished wisdom, in a short moment, the extent to which one surpasses the omniscient wisdom, even the karma of intentional effort before, in hundreds of thousands of kalpas, cannot surpass such a great extent. Previously, from the seventh bhūmi onwards, one needed to make intentional effort, but here one naturally and effortlessly enters omniscience. It is like a person being carried away by water, reaching the ocean without intentional effort. Although one does not make effort, one naturally reaches omniscience, and from the aspect of not turning back even slightly, it is called irreversible. Generally, the wisdom that is able to see the ultimate truth is called kṣānti, and the one that is consistent with the profound aspect is the kṣānti of the path of application. The direct path of seeing is the intermediate kṣānti. Because the duality of object and subject, and the gross agitation disappear, it is called great kṣānti, which is the eighth bhūmi. The second point is:

Therefore, the prayers established from the very first ground will become extremely pure in terms of unfavorable aspects. Those hundreds of thousands of countless prayers will become completely pure here, and therefore, the perfection of prayers will become even more excellent. This one who abides in the immovable ground of a Bodhisattva is placed in the youth ground. The ninth is to obtain the kingship, and the tenth is like a universal monarch, the Buddhas bestow empowerment. In the third aspect, there are two kinds of merits: the merit of the cessation of existence, and the merit of manifesting emanations in existence even though there is cessation. In the first aspect, even though the connection with existence is completely abandoned, the Thus-Gone One also urges to obtain the Dharma of manifesting various forms in existence, and the two merits of completely abandoning defilements. The first is that the Bodhisattva who has entered cessation, because of past prayers and abiding in the lineage of the Dharma, the Buddhas also urge to arise from cessation. For example: Son of good family, well done, in order to follow and realize the Buddhadharma, this is indeed the ultimate truth of patience. However, son of good family, because you do not yet have our Tathagata's ten powers, four fearlessnesses, and other fully endowed Buddhadharma, in order to completely seek the fully endowed Buddhadharma, strive! Exert effort! And do not abandon this gate of patience! Son of good family, even if you have attained such a state of abiding in peaceful liberation, remember those ordinary beings who are controlled by afflictions! Also, remember the past prayers and the matter of accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings, and the inconceivable gate of wisdom! Merely the nature of Dharma That is also attainable by the Hearers and Solitary Realizers, therefore, by urging the nature of Dharma, that is, by the nature of Dharma of prayer and union, even if one has attained the wisdom free from effort that is of equal taste with cessation, in order for all the inner and outer protectors not to manifest merely cessation, therefore, one is urged to arise from cessation. The second is, in order to arise from cessation, therefore, this wisdom of unattached mind, because afflictions such as attachment cannot coexist, therefore, on the eighth ground, the sun of non-conceptual wisdom rises, and those defilements of afflictions that roam in the three realms are uprooted and pacified, and thus afflictions are
