It is the nature of mind that rejoices in virtue without fault. It has the characteristic of focusing the mind on meditative virtue or samadhi, and the characteristic of wisdom without attachment to the belief in reality. It is said that these are the characteristics of the six perfections. The four dhyanas and the four immeasurables such as love, and the four formless absorptions such as infinite space, are said to be characterized by not being disturbed by anger by the one who truly knows knowable things, because they are attained by abandoning anger. The thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, such as mindfulness, are the self-nature that necessarily leads to liberation. The characteristic of emptiness is that it is empty because there is no object of clinging to reality. The absence of characteristics is the pacification of the characteristics of elaboration. The third liberation gate, namely the absence of aspiration, is characterized by the fact that when one realizes that suffering and the nature of suffering are actions, there is neither suffering nor attachment to reality and ignorance, so there is no aspiration for actions. Some say that because they know that actions are suffering, they have no aspiration, and because they have no ignorance of clinging to reality in nirvana, they have no aspiration. These three liberation gates are objects of ultimate truth, but if one realizes that it is suffering, it will become conventional truth and cannot become ultimate truth. The characteristic of the eight liberations, such as the liberation of the one with form looking at forms, is that they liberate from the obscurations of absorption. Thirdly, the ten powers to be explained are said to be all of a nature that is completely determined. The four fearlessnesses of the protector, such as the vow that the Tathagata has attained perfect and complete enlightenment, are of an extremely stable nature because they cannot be refuted by any opponent and cannot be changed from that. The four analytical knowledges to be explained, such as word meaning, definition, and dharma, are characterized by unimpeded entry into all knowable things, each having uninterrupted and inexhaustible characteristics. Accomplishing the temporary and ultimate benefit of beings is called great love. Completely protecting suffering beings is the great compassion of the Buddha.

It is so. Great joy is the characteristic of supreme joy. Focusing on sentient beings who possess happiness is like an arrow on a string. Great equanimity is characterized by being free from attachment and aversion. The Buddha's body is free from error, etc. The Buddha's teachings are the ten and eight unmixed, as desired. Why? Because the guide is free from error, etc., and cannot be taken away by it, that is, cannot be overcome. Therefore, it is the self-nature of not being taken away. The wisdom of all-knowingness is the desire to know that all aspects of knowable things are manifest. Other consciousness is only a small part, and it is not desired to be called manifest, because the aspect of manifest is not complete in all aspects. Third, the summary meaning. In short, what is the characteristic of conditioned phenomena, and what is the characteristic of self-nature that expresses unconditioned phenomena? That characteristic is emptiness, which is the emptiness of self-nature. Third, this present moment does not last from the time of its self-establishment, and the past and future are destroyed, and it is not existent because it is unborn. Where has it gone, etc.? Those are not found, so it is called unfound. That which is unfound is empty by its own nature. What is that? It is permanent, not constant, nor is it destroyed or impermanent, so it is called the emptiness of unfoundness. Fourth, because things arise from causes and conditions, there is no nature of aggregation in things, and the aggregator is that itself. Emptiness is the nature of the absence of things, which is emptiness. Some say that the aggregator is a collection, but in the self-commentary, aggregation arises from aggregation. Because it arises from causes and conditions, there is no aggregation. If we measure the meaning of the sentence in this way, it arises from conditions and does not exist in reality, so it is called non-thing. That non-thing is emptiness. Thus, self-nature and emptiness, and the three ultimate truths, are the basis, path, and result, and non-thing, transcendence, unfoundness, non-abandonment, etc., differ according to the way of holding. Second, the main text of the classification, and the incidental summary of the twenty emptinesses. First, there are four: the emptiness of things, the emptiness of non-things, the emptiness of self-nature, and the emptiness of other-nature. First, the sound of things, in short, refers to the five aggregates.
