Therefore, what exists is the emptiness of conditioned phenomena. Fourth, any dharma that initially arises, dwells in the middle, and ultimately ceases to exist has these three characteristics. That which lacks these is unconditioned, and the emptiness of that unconditioned is the emptiness of the unconditioned. This is to dispel attachment to emptiness, as well as the belief of Hinayana schools like the Sarvastivadins that the cessation of Nirvana is real, and the clinging to permanence in unconditioned phenomena. Third, there are four kinds of emptiness: emptiness beyond extremes, emptiness without beginning or end, emptiness that cannot be abandoned, and emptiness of inherent nature. First, anything that serves as a basis, if it does not have the extremes of permanence and annihilation, is said to be beyond extremes. That which is beyond extremes, in terms of its own emptiness, is called the emptiness beyond extremes. This is to dispel the clinging to reality in the Middle Way, which is the emptiness free from extremes. Second, because there is no initial beginning that says, "It only appeared this much," and no final end that says, "It will no longer appear after this much," there is also no middle dependent on them. Therefore, samsara is said to be without beginning, end, or middle. Because it is free from going from here to there and coming here from before, it is merely an appearance like a dream. The emptiness of this existence and that existence is called the emptiness without beginning or end. As is clearly explained in the great treatise, the Mother Sutra. This is to dispel the clinging to reality in samsara. Third, in the self-commentary, it says that in terms of ultimate truth, it is merely Nirvana, and in terms of what cannot be abandoned, there is no difference from what cannot be abandoned. Abandonment is said to be scattering and forsaking, while what cannot be abandoned is not throwing away, which is the Mahayana in which nothing can be abandoned. That which cannot be abandoned, in terms of its own emptiness, emptiness is its nature, so it is called the emptiness that cannot be abandoned, and this is also to dispel the clinging to acceptance and rejection of virtue. Fourth, the essence of conditioned and unconditioned phenomena, etc., is the nature of dharma, because whether it is a disciple, a Hearer, a Solitary Buddha, a Bodhisattva Prince, or a Tathagata, they only clarify it and do not newly create it. Therefore, the essence of conditioned phenomena, etc., is named as inherent nature. In terms of its own inherent nature emptiness, it is

Therefore, emptiness. The emptiness that is needed, emptiness is established by reason, so it is considered real, and the attachment that no one has made here, so it is considered that self-nature is established, is said to eliminate it. Fourth, all dharmas are emptiness, self-characteristic emptiness, unconditioned emptiness, and self-nature emptiness without self-nature. First, the six inner realms such as the eye, the six outer realms such as form, the six consciousness realms such as eye consciousness, that is, the object, the support, and the dependent, that is, the eighteen realms, and the six touches such as the touch of the eye's combination, and the six feelings arising from them, and other colored and colorless, and so on. The dharmas of conditioned and unconditioned, that is, all those dharmas. What is the emptiness that is separated from them is the emptiness of all dharmas. Second, there are three parts: showing, explaining, and summarizing. First, from the aggregates of form, etc. to omniscience, whatever does not have the characteristic of self, is the emptiness of self-characteristic. These It is not necessarily the opposite of meaning, but it is said that the main part that expresses its own nature. Second, there are three parts: the self-characteristic of the base dharma, the self-characteristic of the path dharma, and the self-characteristic of the fruit dharma. First, form is the characteristic of being changeable, feeling is the nature of experiencing pleasure, pain, and equanimity, thought is the holding of internal and external differences or characteristics, and action is the manifestation of conditioned or causal conditions. The distinguishing consciousness of each object form, etc., is the self-characteristic of consciousness. The suffering of the aggregates of grasping is the nature of holding the self-characteristic realm like a poisonous snake, and throwing it into samsara or wanting to hold on to samsara. The places are the mind and mental events or the place of suffering, which the Buddha said, and are the gate of suffering. Whatever is dependent origination is the characteristic of the aggregation of causes and conditions. Second, the body, enjoyment, and roots of virtue are completely given away, the mind is the perfection of generosity, the characteristic of discipline is the characteristic of being unblemished and not afflicted by afflictions, patience is the characteristic of being without anger, and the characteristic of diligence.
