Since there are the three, such as the object of dreams. Just as when one awakens, the three of dreams do not exist. Similarly, when the sleep of ignorance and delusion is completely uprooted or awakened, the individual who directly realizes the Dharmadhatu does not have the three of mistaken objects, faculties, and consciousness, just like awakening from a dream. Second, refuting the analogy of hair-like appearances: Whatever is seen by the mind with the eye faculty accompanied by cataracts, etc., due to the power of being obscured by cataracts, such as the objects of hair-like appearances, etc., in the view of the seer's mind, both the object and the consciousness are true, because they appear as such. From the perspective of seeing things clearly without cataracts, both the object and the consciousness are false, because neither appears to it. If it is said that, like hair-like appearances, although the object of knowledge does not exist, there is a consciousness that clings to it. When the eye is directed towards the object of the hair, that is, when the hair is seen, it should be possible for the consciousness of hair-like appearances to arise even without cataracts. Since it is not like that, the consciousness that clings to hair-like appearances does not exist. The consciousness of dreams is a similar example of delusion. Redawa considers cataracts to be an example of the delusion of the faculty of consciousness. Second, refuting the way in which consciousness of emptiness arises. In two parts: stating the views of others through connection, and refuting them. First, because the ability of the mind to see hair-like appearances does not mature in those who see things clearly without cataracts, the consciousness of hair-like appearances does not arise in them. If it is said that the reason for not seeing is that the object of knowledge, the hair-like appearance, is separated from real objects, that is, because it does not exist. Second, refuting it. In two parts: a summary and an explanation. First, since there is no ability of the mind, even without an object, the existence of an object is not established. If there is something called ability, then examine whether it is related to the present, future, or past consciousness. If it is the present ability, then for both the able and the capable, if the consciousness of the so-called ability is a genitive relationship of the same subject, then the two cannot be different things. Therefore, the consciousness of ability cannot exist in the ability itself. If it exists, it would lead to the result having no cause different from itself. Even if a sprout grows, the seed will not

It will perish. If one obtains the fifth kind of arising relationship between ability and consciousness, then it is impossible for consciousness itself and the ability simultaneous with birth to arise, because cause and effect are simultaneous. Since future consciousness does not exist now, one cannot distinguish and say that this ability is the ability of this consciousness, because there is no consciousness as a characteristic. Second, there are three points: refuting that consciousness has inherent ability in the present; refuting that it has inherent ability in the future; and refuting that it has inherent ability in the past. First, it is impossible for the consciousness that has already arisen in the present to have the possibility of ability, because there is the fault of cause and effect being simultaneous. Second, there are two parts: a general refutation and a refutation of the answer to eliminate faults. The first is: the nature of unborn consciousness also cannot have the ability of self-one connection, because there is no future consciousness as a characteristic, and there is no ability distinguished by it, because it is not necessary to have a distinguishing dharma, and it can be established as its ability, then the son of a barren woman would also have that ability. Second, in the world, it is said, "Cook a pot of sour porridge" and "Weave a piece of cloth with this ball of yarn," and in the scriptures it is also said, "There are three kinds of entering the womb, the wheel-turning king and the self-born." Thus, for things that will become wheel-turning kings, etc., it is said that they enter the womb. If one thinks that consciousness will arise in the future, so it can be called its ability, referring to the ability that can arise, then it is unreasonable, because the ability that produces it has not been established now, and there is no ability, so the result of this ability, the consciousness that will arise, is also not there. If one thinks that relying on the consciousness that will arise to establish its ability, and saying that consciousness arises from ability, relying on ability to establish consciousness, then it is established, then it is not established, because dependent establishment means that one establishment must be established before the other, and if it is not established, then what is to be established is also not there, both will not be established, because the establishment of mutual dependence is only a designation like long and short, this mountain and that mountain, etc., and it is not established by nature, this is what the holy ones with wisdom have said. Third, refuting the past ability, divided into the actual refutation.
