Because there is no going, it is because the meaning of the word of action is empty. Furthermore, if it is assumed that both walking and going have the activity of going, then there would be two activities of going. The activity of going, on which path one goes, that path is called the activity of walking, which is one activity, and the activity of going that walking itself possesses, which is the second activity. If the activity of going becomes two, then the goer will also become two, because without a dependent goer, the dependent going is not reasonable. In short, in these cases, the nature of going, the dependent Pudgala, the cause and creation, all three are negated, and the cause and effect of staying, etc., are also negated. Second, negation through examining the agent. If the activity of going exists, but the goer does not exist, then the activity of going is not reasonable. If one thinks like that, it is not right, because in the world one sees Devadatta and others walking on the road. That is impossible, because the goer is established in dependence on the activity of going. If there is no activity of going here, then how could the goer exist? It will not exist. If there is no going, then it will not be said that Devadatta, who does not have going, is going, just as one would not say that there is a staff if there is no staff. If the meaning of the word "going" has its own entity, then it must exist in any of these three situations, therefore examine it there. For the time being, the goer does not go, which will be explained. The non-goer is also not going, because it is separated from the activity of going. Apart from the goer and the non-goer, which third aggregate will go? That is impossible. If one thinks that the latter two do not go, but the first one goes, then, there is only one activity called going, and that activity is related to the goer, or related to the meaning of going, or related to both? If it is like the first case, although one can only say the goer without going, it is impossible to have only the goer without the activity of going. If it is like the second case, the goer is separated from the activity of going, then it will become a goer without going. If it is like the third case, because there are two activities of going, the agent will become two, etc., examine it as before. Here, one's own going

Is the activity of walking the same entity as the walker? Or does it exist in a different way? According to the first view, if the walker cannot be established without the activity of walking, then how can it be valid to say, "The walker walks," since the walking itself has not been established? According to the second view, the walker himself would be separate from the activity of walking. For any opponent who asserts that the walker walks, that is, the walker possesses walking, it would follow that he is a walker without walking, because the so-called walker is not walking, but only now wants to walk. If these two are different, but the walker walks without being separated from the activity of walking, then the activity of walking would also become two, because one is the activity that appears as the walker, and the other is the activity of walking that exists again after becoming the walker. Therefore, the walker and walking, etc., are merely imputed in dependence on each other, and if one examines their own entity, it cannot be found. Second, refuting the proof: If Devadatta stops standing and begins to walk, then there is walking, and if walking does not exist, then beginning is also impossible, just as if there is no hair of a tortoise, it is impossible to weave cloth with it. If you say so, then the so-called beginning, if it exists, must exist in any of the three times: past, present, or future. It is impossible in the past activity of walking, because the beginning is present. It is also impossible in the future, because the times are contradictory, and it is unreasonable for an unborn dharma to have no basis. In the present walking, the beginning is also non-existent, because the walking that is neither past nor future is non-existent in its own entity, and if there is a beginning of walking there, it would follow that there are two activities, and thus two agents. Therefore, on the road that has already been walked, there is no beginning of walking, because it has ceased. On the road that has not been walked, there is also no beginning of walking, because the future and the present are contradictory. On the road that is being walked now, the beginning is non-existent, so there is no beginning of walking in any case, so on which road does one begin to walk? Even if it is allowed that there is a road, the beginning of walking is unreasonable. To this, someone says that walking exists, because three roads can be referred to by way of having entered, being entering, and not having entered. If it is allowed that there is a walker, then Devadatta
