Whatever is not attached by relying on the dharma of things, the nirvana where all suffering ceases does not exist with the nature of non-things. If it is a non-thing, then it is not universally true that a non-thing will transform into other things, because there are no other non-things. If it is thought to exist in the nature of a non-thing, then without grasping the non-thing of "this is not," it cannot be established without a thing. Here, the other party considers the non-thing where all suffering ceases to be nirvana. Such a non-thing where all suffering is extinguished does not exist without relying on things. Then, what does the son of a barren woman rely on? Who says that it is a non-thing? A thing does not transform into other things, so it is not a non-thing. And where does it say: Like the sky, rabbit horns, and the son of a barren woman, although they do not exist, they can be expressed in words, so is the attachment to things. What is said is only to prevent attachment to things there, but not attachment to non-things, because the basis of the thing itself is not established. The son of a barren woman is just a sound, and it is impossible to determine whether this meaning becomes a thing or a non-thing. Therefore, how can it be reasonable to speculate on the nature of non-objectification as a non-thing? It is like a distinction without a basis, as stated in the Clear Words. Nirvana is considered to be a non-thing in terms of meaning, from the perspective of self-establishment, isn't it said that it is not in terms of expression? The son of a barren woman is not knowable. So, what is the son of a barren woman? If it is said to be a non-thing, then the son of a barren woman becomes a knowable with the characteristic of a non-thing, and if it is said that neither is the case, then it is not right to be attached to the characteristic of non-duality. Like the moon, if there is no basis for the two dharmas of thing and non-thing that can be clearly pointed out, then it cannot be said that it is that, just like saying that the son of a barren woman is white. Therefore, if nirvana is not a thing, then it does not exist. How can it be thought that nirvana is without things? Because non-existence is only a distinction that excludes the opposite, it itself is not established as existence, so the word "is" cannot be added. Well said. If nirvana is not a thing, then it cannot be established by nature as a non-thing, because it did not exist before all suffering ceased, so it does not exist independently.

Oh! It seems that the nature is non-existent. That's what it says. The meaning is, if nirvana is not real, both of these words are the prior statement. First, if the non-real nirvana is established by its own nature, then it does not depend, and if it does not depend, it will not change, so the non-real itself cannot be established. Second, if it depends, then the very existence of nature or essence cannot be established. Or, if one admits that nirvana exists in the nature of non-reality, then according to that view, there should not be a knowable called non-reality, and if non-reality is also established, then non-reality cannot exist. Or, one can ask whether nirvana exists or does not exist? One cannot say that it does not exist, because that is the point of contention. If it exists, does it exist as real, or does it exist as non-real? If it is the former, it has already been refuted. If one says that it exists as non-real, then non-real is merely nothing at all, does that mean one thinks that nirvana does not exist? If one says that it exists in the nature of non-reality, then non-reality should exist. If one thinks it exists, then it is also non-real. If it exists, then nirvana cannot be non-real, because the opposite of non-real is existence. Therefore, what is called non-real is non-existent in its very nature. If one says that nirvana does not have the nature of non-reality, then does the non-existence of nirvana exist or not? If it exists, then non-existence and existence are not contradictory. If it does not exist, then nirvana should exist. This is how it is analyzed. For the self-nature of nirvana to be established as non-real, what is called non-real is not established, because it is impossible for it to become non-real again. It is only existence itself, and there is no reason why it must be non-real. If one says that the arising of karma and afflictions and other things do not exist, then it contradicts the nature of nirvana being non-real, because from the point of view of the cessation of arising, nirvana is called non-real. The self-nature of nirvana is ungraspable. If one grasps nirvana as a concept, whether one says it is real or non-real, it will not go beyond the scope of existence, just like saying whether a horse is white or not white. Although it seems different, like saying the sky is not white, and the nature of the sky, etc., it is not actually different. So, if nirvana is neither real nor non-real, then what is it? Any samsaric thing,
