When riding on the horse of self-arising dependent origination and saying "non-empty," if it is non-empty, then all terms will be destroyed, which is like riding on a horse and saying there is no horse. In reality, not seeing that the faults of not having the four noble truths, etc., exist in one's own way of commitment, but imposing faults on other faultless schools, this is because one does not realize that the fault of forgetting one's own nature of dependent origination is the horse, but thinks it is the fault of others robbing the horse. In short, those faults of refutation are like you yourself riding on the horse, but forgetting and not seeing your own faults like the horse, I think all these faults are on you. This example is also subtle and profound. If it is non-empty, how can it not conform to the four noble truths, etc.? If someone thinks that things exist from their own nature, then, because self-existence does not depend on causes and conditions, you think that things do not have causes and conditions or dependent origination. If so, then the result produced by causes and conditions, such as a vase, and its cause, such as clay, etc., and the author, the potter, and the tools, the stick, the wheel, etc., and the function of the vase, and its arising and ceasing, will also harm the result produced by causes and conditions. Because from the beginning, the result, the vase, is self-existent, and does not need a cause, so the result of clay, etc., the vase, does not exist, therefore, clay, etc., has no result, and later these results produced by the aggregation of causes and conditions do not exist, this is said from the perspective of denying cause and effect. It is also clear in all four commentaries. The Madhyamikas say that whatever is dependently originated is said to be empty of its own nature. From dependent origination, it is merely established by relying on its own basis of imputation, just like a chariot. Dependent origination itself is the correct middle way that is free from permanence and annihilation, existence and non-existence, etc. For self-existence, dependent origination is unreasonable. For dependent origination, self-existence is unreasonable. Because it does not arise without the other, because it appears by relying on causes and conditions, so the appearance is merely the fabrication of others, and the fabrication has no self-nature, but, relying on causes and conditions, the appearance is merely fabrication or conventional truth.

Naming is merely an appearance, without inherent existence, arising from aggregation, and free from existence and non-existence, which is the Middle Way, like the moon in water and so on. Therefore, Madhyamaka, emptiness, and dependent arising are three terms with the same meaning. Because if we examine closely, there is no phenomenon that does not depend on dependent arising, therefore, there is no phenomenon that is not empty. Therefore, all phenomena are empty, and there is no fault. Third, refuting the faults of others and elaborating, there are four parts: refuting the four truths, refuting the Three Jewels, refuting cause and effect, and showing that conventions are unreasonable. The first part has two points: refuting the objective four truths and refuting the subjective wisdom. The first point has three parts: summary, elaboration, and conclusion. First is the summary: If all of this is not the nature of emptiness, then dependent arising is impossible, and there is neither arising nor ceasing. In that case, for you who claim that the four noble truths are not empty, the four noble truths will also be nonexistent. Second is the elaboration: If it is not dependent arising, how can suffering exist? Like a flower in the sky that does not depend on anything. If suffering is said to be the nature of momentary impermanence, then the truth of suffering that is spoken of is not inherently existent, because it is impermanent. If things exist by their own nature, then how can suffering arise at all? Because the origin arises from causes and conditions, and what exists by its own nature does not depend on causes and conditions. Therefore, for those who think that emptiness is harmful and unreasonable, there is no origin. If suffering exists by its own nature, then there is no cessation that negates it. The reason is that the nature of suffering is completely present, so it will never cease. You who admit this are harming the cessation. If the path has its own nature, then it exists even without cultivation, and it is not reasonable to cultivate it anew, because action does not apply to what is permanent. Moreover, the path should be repeatedly cultivated by the true gods and so on. If the path can be cultivated, then your claim that the path is inherently existent is not valid, because saying so is meaningless. Third is the conclusion: Therefore, for whom
