That is so. The second has three points: stating the extreme absurdity, refuting the defense against the fault, and summarizing the points. The first point is: If things are not unborn, but it is admitted that things exist by their own nature, then if it does not perish in the second moment, it is eternal; if it perishes, it is nihilism, which would be absurd, because any existing thing is either admitted to be eternal or admitted to be impermanent. The second point is: Even if it is admitted that things exist, it will not lead to annihilation, nor will it lead to eternity, because the stream of arising and ceasing of cause and effect is called samsara. If someone thinks that even though things are impermanent, the continuous existence of cause and effect is samsara, so it will not lead to annihilation, then even if there is continuity, when the cause itself disappears, it will not arise again, so how can the cause itself not be interrupted? This is different from itself, because from a cause without self-nature, what would be interrupted? That is impossible. Furthermore, if the thing of the cause has self-nature, then since self-nature does not change, it will fall into the state of eternity. Or, the continuity of cause or effect exists essentially, or the continuity itself exists essentially, which is also your own view. In this way, even if the fruit is the stream of arising and ceasing of cause and effect, it will still fall into the state of eternity and annihilation, because anything that perishes will not arise again, so the cause will fall into the state of annihilation, and if things essentially have self-nature, then it will never become non-things, because essence is contradictory and will never change. It will also fall into the state of annihilation at the time of nirvana, because the continuity of existence is completely pacified. Furthermore, the last moment of the previous existence ceasing is the cause, and the first moment of the next existence arising is the effect, and such a way without interruption in between is called existence or samsara. If such an existence is examined, it does not exist, if it exists, then the first moment of the next existence, existing as the essence of the effect, arises from the last moment of the previous existence ceasing, not ceasing, or ceasing? When the last moment of the previous existence essentially ceases, the first existence cannot arise, because it would lead to no cause, like a sprout from a rotten seed. If the last moment has not ceased, then also

If the initial birth is illogical, then the first existence would become causeless. If that were the case, one sentient being would have two natures, and sentient beings that did not exist before would arise, and the previous one would be permanent, and sprouts would arise from seeds that have not decayed. What is ceasing is the present, and what is arising is the future, so these two do not meet. If the first is arising when the last is ceasing, then these two are simultaneous. What is ceasing is one existence, and what is arising is another existence, so two existences would exist simultaneously. If the first existence arises when the last is ceasing, then what is ceasing is one existence, and what is arising is another existence from the previous one. If the previous ceasing and the subsequent arising never exist together, then here, for you, which aggregates will experience death, and which will experience birth? Because these two are contradictory. Also, the word "also" summarizes the previous two. Third, the summary of the meaning is: Therefore, if birth does not have death, and death does not have birth, then there is no so-called continuum. Thus, in the three times, the continuum of existence is unreasonable between the two, such as cessation and non-cessation. Then, how can that which does not exist in the three times be a continuum of existence? It is unreasonable. The second is the examination of arising and destruction, which is the twenty-first chapter. The twenty-second chapter is the examination of the Tathagata. The connection of the sutra is: In the sutra it says, "The Tathagata is always the unborn Dharma, all Dharmas are the same as the Sugata," and so on, and the connection of the treatise. The continuum of samsara exists because there is a Tathagata. Like this, the Tathagata must fully accumulate merit for countless eons to become a Buddha, not in every life and every moment, if you say so. In order to show that the Tathagata is not established by nature, there are two: the text and the title. The first has three: refuting the true establishment of the Tathagata, and establishing the way of abandoning all views, and how to apply it to other reasonings. The first has three: what of the taker
