Since it is already established, what new thing can the cause produce? That is meaningless. If the result has no self-nature, it cannot be produced like a rabbit's horn, so what can the cause produce? It will not produce. Here, showing the existence or non-existence of the result does not contradict the previous two statements that the result is not empty, arises, and does not change. The former is from the aspect of the result, and this is from the aspect of the cause? Or, the former says that the nature of the result itself does not truly arise, while this says that the cause cannot act on the existence or non-existence of the result, etc. There is such a difference. If you say that something that does not exist arises from a cause, like an image is uncertain. Although it is like that, even if it is uncertain, it is established as having no self-nature, so you will follow what we say. Also, will you admit this in that way? Just as you yourself admit that even if there is no self-nature, it will arise from a cause. and so on. Since there is no opposite of anything having self-nature, there is also no non-self-nature. Therefore, how can it be uncertain? The image is not established as having self-nature or non-self-nature, in any case, it is not its state. Fourth, the pervasive is not observed. If it is prevented like that, but only the cause exists, then does the result also exist? That is not established, if they are not the cause of producing the result, then they will not be considered as the cause. If there is no thing that is considered to be the cause, then what cause will the result become the result of? It will not become. Third, summarizing the meaning established by prevention, even if it is only a cause, it will not produce a result, but if the causes and conditions are gathered together without lacking, then it will produce a result? That is not the case, until the entity of the collection itself is not found, it is not a collection, and if it is found, then it is contradictory for oneself to act on oneself, and because there is no need, oneself will not produce oneself, therefore, the so-called "collection of causes" depends on the result, even if one cause of producing the result is missing, it cannot become a collection, and how much needs to be gathered depends on the result, and not just gathering some things that happen to be gathered, so the collection cannot produce itself by its own power, and how can it produce a result when it is not established? This is showing that the collection is not an entity. If you do not understand such a difference, you will ask: If oneself does not produce, then others will not produce, what is the reason?

Then, either not speaking, or like not looking at oneself and not looking at others, it should be connected to the collection. If it is connected in that way, it will actually be established as without substance, otherwise the key point will not be grasped. In this way, the collection of causes, the individual causes, and the single collection are all the same. Thus, if it is the collection of all causes and conditions, it cannot produce itself, then how can it produce other fruits? Because it cannot produce, the collection of causes and conditions has not produced the fruit. The fruit that is not produced by the collection does not exist either. If the cause that is not a collection produces the fruit, it will lead to non-cause becoming a cause, which is very contradictory. Thus, if neither the non-collection nor the collection has produced the fruit, there is no reason, where is the collection of causes and conditions there? It is like the son of a barren woman having no collection of causes and conditions. The second is, examining the collection, cause and fruit, called the twentieth chapter. The twenty-first chapter is the discussion of examining arising and ceasing. The connection of the sutra is: with the supreme wisdom completely subdue, form has no death or birth. And so on, and the connection of the treatise. Sprouts decay in winter, and spring is born, etc., time is the cause of arising and ceasing, because there is arising and ceasing, so its cause time must also exist, if you think so. In order to show that it is unreasonable, it is divided into two: the text and the name. The first is divided into two: stating the harm to the existence of self-nature, and refuting the proof of existence. The first is divided into five: refuting by examining whether they are established simultaneously, refuting by examining whether they are exhausted, refuting the establishment as the supported and the supporter, refuting by examining whether it is emptiness, refuting by examining whether it is one or other. The first is divided into three: stating the proposition, listing the reasons, and summarizing the meaning. The first is: Time exists is unreasonable, because there is no arising and ceasing. The proposition is established, because decay is not without birth, nor is it coexisting with birth, and birth is not without decay, nor is it coexisting with decay, this is the proposition. The second is: How can decay exist without birth? If it exists, then sentient beings will die without birth, which is impossible. Therefore, decay
