Moreover, even if karma has ceased, since its imperishable continuum of non-loss will not be cut off, therefore, sequentially, for the noble ones and ordinary beings, the non-loss of previously created virtuous and non-virtuous karma will definitely produce satisfactory and unsatisfactory karmic results. If the non-loss of karma is abandoned by abandoning the karma to be abandoned by the path of seeing, and if the previous continuum of non-loss is cut off by the transference of karma, that is, by previously created different types of karma, then the destruction of karmic results, as well as the encounter of uncreated karma, and the waste of created karma, etc., will inevitably occur. For the noble ones, there is no experience of the ripening of karma, and for ordinary beings, it will become experiencing the results of uncreated karma, and it will become that karmic results do not exist. Fourth, the way of arising and ceasing is: desire realm, form realm, formless realm, that is, karma that has become the same realm, whether it is any kind of virtue, etc., or the same part, and mutually different parts, such as virtue and non-virtue, etc., all of these many non-losses, at the time of connecting the continuum, are abandoned separately, and only the attainment of that realm is attained, thereby arising. For this life of the Dharma to be seen, the two types of defiled and undefiled, or virtuous and non-virtuous, all the karma of mind and intention, and the non-loss of karma, will arise differently according to the number of karmas, and even if the non-loss existing in this life has already produced the ripening, it itself will not cease but exist, but it cannot produce results, just like a pledge becoming a corpse. Whether it is the previous life or this life's karma of the Dharma to be seen that has been experienced, it is the same. There, since there is no cause for making the non-loss cease, therefore, even if it produces results, it itself will not cease. Then when will it cease? When the results are transferred and death occurs, it will cease. The transference of results, as shown in the sutras, is also abandoned by meditating on cessation. Ceasing at death, this has already been explained at the time of connecting the continuum, through obtaining the only one, etc. Fifth, the difference of essence is: it should be known that its classification depends on the two, defiled and undefiled. Third, the summary of the meaning is: non-loss itself connects cause and effect, and there is a connection of explaining emptiness, etc. to this. Non-loss shows that emptiness, etc., are produced by karma.

If it is admitted in this way, karma does not remain in the second moment, therefore it does not abide in its own nature, so it is emptiness. Although karma ceases, the maturation of karma is not interrupted, and it is not like permanence, so it can exist in the continuum of each sentient being, so it is reasonable to establish it in various existences. In order to make karma not permanent, residing between maturation, it is said that it will not be wasted. If so, it has the four qualities of being able to be emptiness, immeasurable, able to revolve in realms and individual beings, and not being permanent, therefore karma is called the Dharma of not being wasted, which is what the Buddha taught. Third, refuting the answer to eliminate faults has four points: the nature does not exist, so there is no reason for permanence and annihilation; stating the harm to those who think that the nature exists; refuting the proof of true existence; and how to establish the reason in name. The first point is: if karma does not exist, then examine how maturation arises for it. You who argue with the cause of the fruit are like fearing the destruction of the city of Gandharvas and striving to protect it. Like this, if karma arises with its own nature and stays between maturation, then it is permanent; if it does not stay and is destroyed, then it is annihilation. But these do not exist, because it has been shown by the previous reasoning that it should not have its own nature. Then, what does the Buddha mean when he says, "The karma of sentient beings will not be wasted even after hundreds of kalpas"? Because the basis of permanence and annihilation, the false nominal karma is not produced, therefore, karma has no self-nature. Because karma is not produced by self-nature, therefore it will never be wasted. If it arises, it will be wasted, that is, annihilated. Second, stating the harm to those who think that karma has self-nature: if karma has self-nature, then there is no doubt that it will become permanent, because self-nature can never change. If it becomes permanent, then karma is not created, because permanent things have no function. If karma cannot be created, then even if no one creates karma, they will experience the result, then the maturation has no cause, because there is no created maturation.
