It is meaningless. If one thinks that it changes into something else while still being in the previous state, then it must change without abandoning the previous state, so the milk itself, while still being milk, turns into yogurt. It doesn't turn into something else, but any object other than milk, such as water, becomes the nature of yogurt, because there is nothing else besides turning into yogurt. Third, refuting other arguments: They say, there is a dependent phenomenon, because there is dependent emptiness. There is emptiness, because it is the antidote to samsara, don't you Madhyamikas also admit that? The Blessed One also said: Nirvana is the supreme truth. If emptiness is thus established, then its opposite or the basis of emptiness should also be established, right? If the so-called emptiness were established, that would be the case. But it does not exist, if there is even a little bit of non-emptiness, then there would be a little bit of emptiness dependent on it, but if there is not even a single non-empty phenomenon within the realm of knowable objects, then how could the so-called emptiness exist by its own nature? It will not exist. In this regard, the proponents of reality admit that both the basis of emptiness and the emptiness on top of it are established separately, and if that is the case, then among these phenomena, some are empty, but if there is even a little bit of phenomenon that is never empty, then it becomes something other than emptiness. Whatever is non-empty or existent must be emptied by the antidote emptiness, because there is dependence on the antidote, so even if there is a little bit of emptiness. For example, whatever has birth has cessation. If there is a little bit of birth, there is a little bit of cessation, such as the cessation of Lahsin and the cessation of a vase, etc. If there is no birth, there will be no cessation, just as the son of a barren woman does not die. Therefore, emptiness is the common characteristic of all phenomena, therefore, when whatever appears to exist is pervaded by emptiness, then what does emptiness empty? Like a garland of flowers in the sky, emptiness is also not established by its own nature. Therefore, first it depends on the grasping of existence, and that is merely the way to reverse that grasping. What does this emptiness empty in the reality of things? Because there is no object to be negated.

So, how does one contemplate emptiness that is undeniable? Fourth, the necessity of teaching emptiness is: They say, "The uncommon Dharma of the Victorious Buddha, the three doors of liberation that are taught, profound emptiness does not exist." By slandering in this way, you are severing the path to higher realms and liberation." If one thinks like this, then, The great king of medicine, the Victorious Ones, taught outer emptiness, inner emptiness, emptiness of emptiness, and so forth, as the antidote that helps beings to definitely arise from all views such as existence and non-existence of things. If that is the case, then those who hold the view that emptiness itself has essence after things have been negated, cannot be correctly proven in any way, that is, they are irreparable, like a wrong purgative. How is it taught? In the Ratnakuta Sutra, it says: "If it is not emptiness that makes all dharmas empty, but the dharmas themselves are empty; if it is not signlessness that makes all dharmas signless, but the dharmas themselves are signless; if it is not wishlessness that makes all dharmas wishless, but the dharmas themselves are wishless. Whoever understands them separately in this way, that is Subhuti, correctly understanding the middle way of dharmas." "Subhuti, those who aim at emptiness and thereby understand emptiness are greatly deviated from my teachings." "Subhuti, it is better to abide in the view of self as great as Mount Meru, but it is not so with the view of emptiness with pride. Why is that? Subhuti, emptiness arises from all views. Subhuti, those who only hold onto emptiness are irreparable, I have said." "Subhuti, for example, if there is a sick person and the doctor gives him medicine, but the medicine causes all diseases and does not eliminate the residue of the medicine, Subhuti, what do you think? Will that person be liberated from that disease?" "Bhagavan, no. If the medicine causes all diseases and does not eliminate the residue of the medicine, then that person's disease will become very severe." The Bhagavan said, "Subhuti, likewise, emptiness arises from all views.
