应如是行。犹如须弥山王，具有金刚之环境，安住于大地之中央不动摇。如是治国者稳固且不违背法度，于地上一切众生中最为殊胜。不为恶友如水之波涛所动摇，不为突发之分别念风所摇曳。此山王以恒常稳固之姿态，亦能压倒无情之山峰。何者具有稳固之心，彼等心力强大且精进不懈怠，对于自己所应做之任何事情，亦不生起怯懦之心。若不放弃所应做之事，则大事亦终将成办。即使是难以移动之巨石，亦能逐渐搬运至山顶。愚者夸口要做事，起初努力最终懈怠。智者将事情放在心中，起初懈怠最终努力。圣者起初难以承诺，若已承诺，则如石上刻画，即使死去亦不改变。若具足精进，则山顶亦非高不可攀，海之深处亦非低不可及，对于具有如是心力者，天神亦会生起畏惧，何况是人类呢？如船夫以大布施，汲取海中之水，如是具足精进者，应依止善知识，学习众多经论，以闻思修之智慧之眼。 对于合理且如法之事，特别是重大之要事，应如狮子般无畏，投入于事业之中。依止低劣者，人们会衰败，依止平庸者，则原地踏步。依止殊胜者，则能获得圣法，因此应依止胜于自己者。具足一切功德者稀少，一无是处者亦少。应依止功德主要者，舍弃缺点， গ্রহণ功德。如以水盛满一半之水瓶，顶在头上，少闻寡见且傲慢者，极难被恭敬。恶人越是弱小，其本性越好，一旦获得名利恭敬，则立即显露出傲慢之态。即使年轻，也喜欢亲近年长者并乐于寂静，即使成为智者，也应

It should be done like this. Like the king of Mount Sumeru, possessing a vajra environment, dwelling unmovingly in the center of the earth. Likewise, a ruler should be stable and not deviate from the law, being the most excellent among all beings on earth. He should not be swayed by evil friends like waves of water, nor be moved by sudden winds of conceptual thought. This king of mountains, with his constant and stable demeanor, can even overwhelm insentient mountains. Those who possess a stable mind are strong in spirit and diligent without懈怠, and they never give rise to a timid heart in whatever they should do. If one does not give up what should be done, then even great matters will eventually be accomplished. Even a boulder that is difficult to move can gradually be carried to the top of the mountain. A fool boasts of doing things, striving at first but becoming lax in the end. A wise person keeps things in mind, being lax at first but striving in the end. A noble person is difficult to make promises at first, but if he has made a promise, it is like drawing a picture on a stone, and he will not change it even if he dies. If one is endowed with diligence, then even the top of a mountain is not too high, and the depths of the sea are not too low. Even the gods will be afraid of those who possess such courage, what need is there to mention human beings? Just as a boatman draws water from the sea with great generosity, so those who are endowed with diligence should rely on a virtuous spiritual friend, study many scriptures, and cultivate the eye of wisdom through hearing and contemplation. For things that are reasonable and in accordance with the Dharma, especially important matters, one should be fearless like a lion and engage in the work. Relying on inferior people, people will decline; relying on mediocre people, they will remain in the same place. Relying on excellent people, one will attain the holy Dharma; therefore, one should rely on those who are superior to oneself. It is rare to find someone who possesses all virtues, and it is also rare to find someone who is completely without merit. One should rely on those who possess the main virtues, abandon faults, and adopt virtues. Like a water pot filled halfway with water, carried on the head, those who have little learning and are arrogant are very difficult to respect. The more humble an evil person is, the better his nature is, but once he gains fame and respect, he immediately shows an arrogant attitude.
