May it remain as steadfast as a mountain, May it remain as clear and unmoving as the ocean, May it remain as vast and boundless as the sky, Whatever the state, may it be in the state of awareness. May it shine, abide, be self-aware, and clear. Just as birds fly in the sky, Yet do not leave the sky, so is the state of awareness. May all phenomena be self-illuminating and unwavering. Thus, a basis for rejection, establishment, acceptance, rejection, hope, and doubt will arise, and know that it is the meditation of self-abiding awareness. Once this is recognized, in all moments of the abiding, moving, rejecting, establishing, good thoughts, and bad thoughts of knowledge, by gazing directly at self-awareness, self-illumination, and self-arising, the meditation of non-grasping self-abiding will naturally arise. That flows like an effortless river, guarded by mindfulness. Likewise, in the Uttaratantra it is said, "The nature of mind is luminosity, which is immutable like space. Afflictions such as attachment arising from unreal thoughts are adventitious stains that do not change it." All phenomena that appear and are experienced are introduced as being beyond rejection, establishment, acceptance, rejection, hope, doubt, and conceptualization. Furthermore, for a fortunate individual, when the lama introduces the meaning on the continuum where the meaning has been practiced, the additions and subtractions to the meaning of the profound reality are cut off, and by guarding that experience without interruption, stability will be quickly attained. Moreover, regarding the meaning of meditation, if experience has not arisen and it remains only in the realm of understanding, even if introduced, it will disappear like a bird flying away. Therefore, strive to meditate again until experience arises on each object of observation in sequence, and by introducing it in accordance with the sequence of the arising of experience and realization, the key points will gradually be grasped. Thus, by condensing experience into essence and meditating, experience and realization will grow like summer sprouts. Second, the teaching that the result, which is without abandonment or attainment, is irreversible. By practicing in this way, the result will be attained, which is that all phenomena of memory, thought, and elaboration are selfless. Moreover, even though these sections of the essence of original purity are said to be like hidden eyes that open the key to view, meditation, and conduct, since there is only a difference in the words of the names, the meaning is the same. Therefore, here it is arranged according to the common general practice in guidebooks, and there is no other restriction. That is also the general dharmas and the nature of dharmata itself.

From the division into two categories, here, firstly, the general nature of phenomena, that is, the four aspects of view, meditation, conduct, and result of Dzogchen are taught. Among them, the four aspects of "who sees what, how, and what is attained" are taught in detail, namely: what to see, see the nature of things; who sees, the fortunate individual; how to see, see without bias; what is attained by seeing, the Dharmakaya without inner or outer. The second meaning is to introduce the meaning of directly placing uncontaminated wisdom in the essential point of self-nature. In other places, it is said to be the Tathagatagarbha and causes, etc., while here it is the introduction of the awareness abiding in the ground, whose essence is the three wisdoms of primordial purity, whose nature is self-nature great compassion, three thousand clear, boundless, unobstructed, profound oral instructions that transcend the realm of words and mind, summarized into three sentences to introduce the sequence, which is spoken to fortunate, sharp-witted individuals, instructing through the gateway of three sentences, namely: Go to a secluded place, arrange the body like this, the environment is cloudless space, look at awareness like this, that is its meaning. Having practiced in this way, experience will reach the peak of awareness, thereby directly seeing the self-face of awareness, like a strand of silk, therefore it is said to be equal to Kuntuzangpo. Likewise, as it is said in "After Death": "Whoever sees this direct essential point will not have the reversal of the three realms of samsara." And as it is said in the "Secret Conduct Tantra": "The way of looking at space and awareness is to look at the space free from obscurations, in the space, like a strand of silk, abide in equality and do not make connections, whoever sees like this will have the same fortune as the primordial Kuntuzangpo." Just as it is said. At this time, in order to generate confidence in the meaning of practicing in this way, the direct perception of the Dharmata, the cause and condition of the arising of space and awareness, the increase of experience, the attainment of the peak of awareness, the signs of the four ways of appearance of the exhaustion of Dharmata, and the four marginal reliance oral instructions, establishing the foundation with the three immovable ones, measuring with the three abiding ones, nailing down with the three attained ones, the two upward supports and the two downward supports, introducing the meaning of the four supports showing the degree of liberation, etc., these should be gradually guided according to the student's meditation experience, but here it is only to grasp these in general.
