Maintain connection. Meditate on the four chakras that arise from this. That is, from the navel, measure about two fingers' width upwards, visualize the crown chakra as fully formed. From the junction of the throat and shoulders, visualize the chakra where all tastes gather. From the nipples at the heart, visualize the chakra where memories gather. At the navel, visualize the generative chakra. All of these should be visualized as red and white, clear and transparent, with clear interiors, appearing as emptiness. Then, in the center of the fully formed crown chakra at the top of the head, visualize an empty bindu lamp, white and oily, about the size of a pea, and focus on it with one-pointed attention. When the mind is focused on this, exhale three times, then inhale slowly. Press the air into the abdomen, forcefully pushing the downward air, causing the bindu to tremble. From this, the stream of bliss of bodhicitta falls drop by drop like lentils, or falls continuously like a thread, whichever is comfortable, filling the four chakras of the crown, throat, heart, and navel in sequence, and contemplate the arising of the wisdom of the four joys. Contemplate that the bindu becomes stable in the secret place, experiencing co-emergent wisdom. Maintain the radiance of each state, holding kumbhaka as much as possible, so that the bliss increases more and more. The body and mind are filled with bliss, and again gradually raise upwards, experiencing the four joys of lower stability. Contemplate that the bindu at the crown gradually dissolves and becomes stable, experiencing self-nature co-emergent wisdom, and maintain its radiance as much as possible. Finally, the bindu becomes smaller and smaller, thinner and thinner, and abide as much as possible in the invisible, free from elaboration state. During breaks, also maintain this state of bliss-emptiness union, self-knowing and self-illuminating, as much as possible. By striving in this way, the body and mind will enter the state of bliss-emptiness, the wind-nadis become flexible, and there will be no obstacles to the five elements. Liberation from the desire for food and drink. Attain freedom of mind, and attain the immeasurable merits of the self-nature Great Perfection meditation. Therefore, for the yoga of desireless wind and the yoga of great desire bindu, even if not told to those who have mastered the wind on other paths, there will be no fault of deficiency.

The Omniscient Great One also did not speak of the essential instructions. The second of the root divisions is the actual instruction on how to meditate on the profound path, which is divided into Trekchö and Tögal. The first of these is further divided into the yoga of the five elements that cuts off the stream of memory and the yoga of the three doors. The first is: From the Tantra of Exhausting the Four Elements: "In the great Tantra of Exhausting the Four Elements, in the sky, that wild and distracted awareness that has exhausted the basis of delusion, in the mansion of vast and expansive variety, with the iron hook of exhausted grasping memory, from the heart of clarity without top or bottom, hold it in the manner of exhausted non-distracted thought." As it says, thinking that the meaning of the five A's (Tibetan: ཨ) is to be practiced as unborn, with the seven-fold posture of the body, in the nature of the purity of space, visualize a blue A (Tibetan: ཨ) filling the heart with color, and entrust awareness to it, dissolve all the activities of wind and mind, and remain in the state of non-conceptual freedom from elaboration. The nature of the purity of wind, in the direction of the front of the crown chakra's nose tip, visualize two stacked green A's (Tibetan: ཨ), and entrust awareness as before. The nature of the purity of water, at the tip of the nose, visualize three stacked white A's (Tibetan: ཨ), entrust awareness as before, and learn to hold the breath for a moment. The nature of the purifying fire, at the throat or front chest, visualize four stacked red A's (Tibetan: ཨ), entrust awareness and meditate. The nature of the purifying earth, at the navel or middle space, visualize five stacked yellow A's (Tibetan: ཨ), entrust awareness and meditate. By meditating on the five A's (Tibetan: ཨ) taught here, the elements will go into self-clarity. Second, the preliminaries of the three doors, which are the three of body, speech, and mind. First, learning the vajra posture of the body is from the Thalgyur: "With the vajra full lotus posture, training the body benefits the mind." Therefore, straighten the body, bring the soles of the feet together, spread the knees outward, extend the elbows of the hands, join the palms without touching the head, make the posture of the vajra three points, and fix the eyes on the sky. Visualize your own body as a blue vajra burning with fire, and do it for as long as you can endure. If you cannot endure it, relax and lie on your back, and rest. By repeating this again and again, although you may feel pain for a while, you will soon feel comfortable and warm. By doing this, in general, the sins of the body are purified and obstacles are pacified.
