Visualize them as not being stained by dust. When these appear clearly, visualize above them your own kind root guru, in the form of his constant body, with his two hands in the teaching or meditation mudra, whichever is comfortable, and with a body that is radiantly blazing with glory and fully endowed with the beauty of the marks and signs. For beginners, do not think too much at first, but visualize clearly and then meditate with one-pointed focus. When the appearance is clear, with strong devotion and longing, recite: Glorious root guru, etc., and Lama Rinpoche, the essence of all the Buddhas of the three times, please be mindful. Please bless my mind-stream to ripen and be liberated. Please bless the special realization of the profound path to arise in my mind-stream. Please bless me to quickly attain the supreme siddhi of Mahamudra in this very life. Repeat this sequence of prayers hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands of times, but at least three times. In short, until the realization of devotion increases more and more, pray earnestly from the depths of your heart. Afterwards, the guru, with great joy, melts into a mass of five-colored light and dissolves from your crown into your heart center, separating your body, speech, and mind from the concept of grasping the two as separate from the guru's three vajras, and rest in the state of great bliss free from elaboration, as long as possible. Finally, dedicate the merit with "By this virtue," etc. Although these are not explicitly stated in the actual text, it is the practice of the Great Treasure Revealer, the Dharma King, to give them as an introduction to each session of practice or meditation. Then, secondly, the preliminaries for preparing the vessel for the path include: the instructions on the common vehicle's path, and the establishment of the uncommon basis of the path. The first of these is in the root text: "Difficult to find is leisure and opportunity, easy to perish. The faults of samsara, cause and effect, and taking refuge, generating bodhicitta, purifying sins, accumulating merit, making supplications, and receiving empowerment. These ten show the common path." It says. The first of these is to contemplate the difficulty of finding leisure and opportunity. The second is to...

Think about the difficulty of finding leisure and opportunity; three, think about the faults of samsara; four, think about how karmic results ripen; five, taking refuge as the foundation of the common vehicle; six, generating bodhicitta, the root of the Great Vehicle; seven, Vajrasattva practice and recitation as an antidote to purify sins and obscurations; eight, the mandala as a method to complete the two accumulations; nine, the Guru Yoga for quickly receiving blessings. And the sequence of receiving empowerment as a subsidiary, these are the ten aspects. Among them, first, think about the difficulty of finding leisure and opportunity in this way: Oh, I have now obtained the precious human body that possesses the eighteen qualities of leisure and opportunity, which is very difficult to obtain again and again. If obtained, it is endowed with great meaning. Now, at this time when I have obtained it, I must not let it be wasted and empty. I must definitely practice a genuine and authentic Dharma that will surely obtain the essence of leisure and opportunity. So, how to obtain the eight leisures? In the Great Commentary on the Eight Thousand Verses, it says: Hell beings, hungry ghosts, animals, barbarians, long-lived gods, wrong views, those without a Buddha, and mutes, these are the eight unfree states. It is said. That is to say, if one is born in the three realms of hell beings, hungry ghosts, and animals, one is always preoccupied with the appearance of suffering and has no time to practice Dharma. Long-lived gods, with their wealth and enjoyment, do not have the strong intention to renounce samsara, thus hindering study and contemplation. These are the four external unfree states. If one is born as a human being, but is a barbarian without the intention to enter the teachings, a person with wrong views who does not believe in karma and falls into the extreme of slander, a mute who has no ability to communicate the meaning of words, and a place without a Buddha, that is, a dark age where even the name of the Three Jewels is not heard, these are the four internal unfree states. I have not been born in any of these eight states and have obtained leisure, how fortunate! One should rejoice in obtaining the eight leisures and diligently practice Dharma. Moreover, I also possess the ten endowments, namely the five personal endowments and the five other endowments. First, the five personal endowments are: Being human, born in the central land, having complete faculties, not having reversed karma, and having faith in the Dharma. It is said. I have obtained the precious human body as the basis for practicing Dharma, and I am born in a place where the teachings abide.
