栖息于深渊之外的海洋中，散落在天神和人类居所的一切众生，互相残杀，啖肉饮血吮吸，啃噬骨头，剥皮断肢，此外还要负重，耕作，挤奶，做奴隶，遭受捶打，争斗，驱赶，戴上镣铐，用铁钩和绳索捆绑牵引，剪羊毛，拔毛，不得不忍受难以想象的役使之苦。即使转生为人，也要经历出生，衰老，疾病，死亡之苦，以及财富的衰败，聚散离合，有无得失，争斗，权力大小等等带来的难以想象的痛苦。即使转生为非天，也要为了如意树，甘露和天女而争论，争斗，搏斗，受伤，残缺，肢体断裂，战败等等，不得不忍受无法忍受的争斗之苦。还有，即使在天界，也有巨大的痛苦：即使享受圆满的受用和欲望，也无法满足，被驱逐到其他地方，强者压迫弱者，出现死亡的预兆，树木枯萎，花环凋谢，衣服上沾染灰尘，身体颜色不美观且散发臭味，不喜欢莲花座而感到寒冷，四处游荡，被天女等朋友抛弃，甘露之水和莲花池塘干涸，如意母牛死亡，知道自己将迅速堕入恶道，被那里的痛苦所威胁，感受着如渔网般密集的迁移和堕落之苦。那痛苦也有变异之苦，痛苦之苦，以及遍行行苦三种，轮回的痛苦如此难以解脱，犹如火坑。没有安乐的机会，犹如持续遭受剧痛的病人。即使稍微体验到快乐，也会变成痛苦，犹如食用金巴树的果实。那痛苦无法摆脱，犹如失去独子的母亲。为了获得快乐而忍受痛苦，如同巨人。

All beings dwelling in the outer ocean of the abyss, scattered in the abodes of gods and humans, kill each other, eat flesh, drink and suck blood, gnaw bones, skin and cut off limbs, and also bear burdens, plow, milk, be slaves, be beaten, fight, be driven, be shackled, tied and led with iron hooks and ropes, shear wool, pluck feathers, and have to endure unimaginable suffering of servitude. Even if reborn as a human, one must experience the suffering of birth, aging, sickness, and death, as well as the decline of wealth, separation and reunion, gain and loss, strife, power struggles, and so on, which bring unimaginable suffering. Even if reborn as an Asura, one must argue, fight, wrestle, be wounded, be maimed, lose limbs, and be defeated for the sake of the wish-fulfilling tree, nectar, and goddesses, and must endure unbearable suffering of strife. Moreover, even in the realm of the gods, there is great suffering: even if one enjoys perfect enjoyment and desires, one is never satisfied, one is expelled to other places, the strong oppress the weak, signs of death appear, trees wither, garlands of flowers wither, clothes become dusty, the body color is not beautiful and emits a foul odor, one dislikes the lotus seat and feels cold, wanders everywhere, is abandoned by friends such as goddesses, the nectar water and lotus ponds dry up, the wish-fulfilling cow dies, and knowing that one will quickly fall into the lower realms, one is threatened by the suffering there, and experiences the suffering of migration and fall as dense as a fishing net. That suffering also has the suffering of change, the suffering of suffering, and the all-pervasive suffering of conditioning, and the suffering of samsara is so difficult to escape, like a pit of fire. There is no opportunity for happiness, like a patient suffering from constant pain. Even if one experiences a little happiness, it turns into suffering, like eating the fruit of the Kimpa tree. That suffering cannot be abandoned, like a mother who has lost her only child. Enduring suffering in order to obtain happiness is like a giant.
