It is like the art of... Holding suffering as happiness is like honey on a sword, which only leaves scars after licking. Therefore, one should be as disgusted with samsara as a criminal escaping from prison. Fourth, contemplating cause and effect: All the suffering of samsara that needs to be experienced arises from the non-virtuous deeds and sins committed; Obtaining the happiness of good rebirths, heavens, and liberation also arises from the virtuous deeds committed, therefore, one must correctly accept and reject, and abandon and adopt good and evil. First, there are ten actions to abandon non-virtue: Killing; taking what is not given; non-celibacy, these are the three actions of the body; Lying; harsh speech; divisive speech; idle chatter, these are the four actions of speech; Covetousness; malice; wrong view, these are the three actions of the mind, which are the ten non-virtuous actions. Similarly, the five inexpiable sins; the five near sins; the four root downfalls and sixteen branch downfalls; the eight wrongs, etc., all of these should be abandoned. Performing virtuous deeds includes: prostrating; circumambulating; building Buddha images, scriptures, stupas; reciting scriptures; making offerings; giving alms; upholding the meaning of words; explaining to others; contemplating and analyzing the meaning of words; and abiding in the correct meaning, these are the thirteen virtuous actions; in addition, one should strive to perform all actions that can be transformed into virtue. All of these should not just be lip service, but should be combined with wisdom; constantly engage in the Dharma, and continue to do so until you no longer cling to worldly affairs. Fifth, taking refuge: Now, wanting to be liberated from the suffering of samsara, one must rely on the supreme objects of refuge. Visualizing the refuge field: In the sky in front of oneself, there is a lotus stem with four petals; In the center and four directions are precious thrones; On the lotus, sun, and moon cushions: In the center is the Lama Vajradhara (Tibetan: བླ་མ་རྡོ་རྗེ་འཆང, Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्रधर, Sanskrit Romanization: Vajradhara, Literal Chinese Meaning: Master Vajra Holder); visualize being surrounded by the lineage lamas; In the east is Vajrasattva (Tibetan: རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས་དཔའ, Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्रसत्त्व, Sanskrit Romanization: Vajrasattva, Literal Chinese Meaning: Vajra Being), surrounded by the mandala of peaceful and wrathful deities; Gathering all the qualities of all Buddhas; On the southern lotus seat is Prajnaparamita (Tibetan: ཡུམ་ཆེན་མོ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Great Mother); The sacred Dharma exists in the form of scriptures; In the west, the Sangha of the Great and Small Vehicles arises; Gathering all the Sangha jewels; In the north, visualize the dakinis and Dharma protectors of the outer and inner secret mantras; Myself and the six realms of sentient beings, samsara...

From the ocean of suffering, to liberate, take refuge with one-pointed mind; Alas! The suffering of samsara is difficult to bear, Savior Lama, Yidam, Dakini, and all Buddhas, Dharma, Sangha, and Damchen, I and all beings respectfully take refuge. The unerring guide, the embodiment of all Victors, take refuge in the Lamas and Vidyadharas. Possessing the nature of the four bodies and five wisdoms, take refuge in the Buddhas of the ten directions. The guide of the three vehicles, the supreme scripture free from attachment, take refuge in the Dharma of scripture and realization. The supreme assembly abiding on the grounds and paths, take refuge in the noble Sangha. Bestow all supreme and common siddhis, take refuge in the assembly of peaceful and wrathful Yidams. Eliminating all obstacles, accomplishing activities, take refuge in the Dakinis and Dharma protectors. From this day forth until enlightenment is attained, for me and all sentient beings of the three realms, the refuge and hope, there is no other, please protect us with your great compassion! Thus, take refuge from the depths of your heart as much as possible. Know the benefits of taking refuge and the faults of not taking refuge. Sixth is generating Bodhicitta: My parents, sentient beings, are born in the six realms, experiencing various sufferings, how pitiful! To liberate them from samsara, I will enter the path of Secret Mantra Vajrayana, and liberate them through the stages of generation and completion. Thus, generate love and compassion and the mind of Bodhicitta for sentient beings. I, to liberate my parents, the sentient beings of the three realms of samsara, from the ocean of suffering, generate the supreme mind of compassion and Bodhicitta. Liberate those who are not liberated, liberate those who are not liberated, and let samsara cease in Nirvana. With this Bodhicitta, may infinite beings practice the path of happiness and virtue, may the suffering and non-virtuous actions cease, may they be free from all suffering, possess happiness, and abide in the state of equality wisdom. Recite thus and generate Seventh is purifying sins: Visualize your own body as ordinary, above the crown of your head, on a white lotus and moon disc, from (ཧཱུྃ,梵文:hūṃ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,meaning: seed syllable) arises Vajrasattva, white, holding a vajra and bell, adorned with precious ornaments, sitting in the posture of ease, at his heart
