Like and so on, they cannot save from samsara, only temporary small happiness. Because they themselves are also in samsara. For example, one who is locked in a dark prison cannot save another. Therefore, it can be certain that the infallible refuge is the Three Jewels. Just as the great scholar said: The lord of samsara, no matter how good, is deceiving; the Three Jewels of refuge are not deceiving. The accomplished Melong also said: To the incomparable Three Jewels, body, speech, and mind constantly rely on them, without deception, all wishes will be fulfilled. Thus it is said. For example, sincerely thinking in your heart: I take refuge in the Buddha, the Buddha is the protector; I take refuge in the Dharma, the Dharma is the path; I take refuge in the Sangha, the Sangha is the companion. In a quiet place, on a comfortable cushion, sit upright in a comfortable posture, and calm the mind. Visualize that this land where you are is transformed into a pure land with immeasurable expanse, with the nature of jewels and decorated with patterns. In the center of the sky in front, a wish-fulfilling tree, with lush branches and leaves, blooming flowers, and abundant fruits, is extremely lush, and its branches extend to the center and the four directions. All sentient beings, without enemies or friends, without partiality, abide like dust on the great earth. All fold their hands in reverence of body, utter the words of refuge with a loud voice in reverence of speech, and with reverence of mind, from this time until reaching the heart of enlightenment, there is no hope, no reliance, no refuge other than you holy ones. With heart, core, and chest, they pour out their heart to the Three Jewels, and from the depths of their bones, with intense longing, they are devoted to taking refuge. In particular, aroused by great compassion for all sentient beings, they pray to be saved from the terrible suffering of samsara. In the mouth: Namo! Until enlightenment, I and all beings take refuge in the Lama, the Buddha, the Holy Dharma, the supreme Sangha, the mandala deities of the Sugatas, and the Dakinis. Recite hundreds or thousands of times, striving as much as possible, and when concluding the session, rays of light emanate from the bodies of the refuge objects, touching oneself and all other sentient beings, purifying all sins and obscurations. All of these, like chasing away hundreds of birds with one stone, go with the light to those pure realms. The refuge objects gradually dissolve into light and are absorbed into oneself, remaining in a state of non-objectification.
