There are two uncommon [practices]. The first is: contemplating the difficulty of obtaining leisure and endowment, impermanence of life, the manner in which karmic results ripen, and the faults of samsara, cultivating the mind of renunciation, and relatedly, taking refuge and generating bodhicitta. The second is: the Vajrasattva practice and recitation to pacify obstacles, the mandala offering to complete the two accumulations, and the guru yoga to swiftly receive blessings. These preliminary instructions are explained in detail, step by step, according to the root instructions of the Father Tantra, and one meditates on them until various experiences arise in the mind. Then, one enters the actual instructions. This assumes that one has already developed renunciation beforehand. If we condense the essential points of visualization, then first, the preliminary practice for each session is: in a secluded place where there will be no disturbance to meditation, on a comfortable seat, straighten the body and relax the mind. The key point for speech is to clearly exhale the nine rounds of breath or three rounds of breath, and think that all diseases, evil spirits, and obscurations are completely purified. It is said that this is like washing the container before milking. The key point for mind is: for the sake of all sentient beings pervading the sky, I wish to practice this profound path of the venerable Vajrayogini. Visualize that on the lotus and moon seat on the crown of your head, the root guru, with complete marks and signs, abides as the essence of all refuge objects. For any happiness or suffering, good or bad, abandon hope and fear, the mind of acceptance and rejection, and with the mind of entrusting "You know what to do," wholeheartedly engage in one-pointed devotion. Recite: Precious guru, embodiment of all Buddhas of the three times, please be mindful. Please bless my mind-stream. Please bless me so that special realizations of the profound path may arise in my mind-stream. After praying earnestly from the depths of your heart for what you desire, the guru dissolves into light with great joy and merges into you, and remain in the state of non-elaboration and beyond mind as it is. All these are practiced as a way of beginning each session. Second, the preliminaries to make oneself a suitable vessel for the path are divided into two: common and uncommon. First, the common preliminaries: as stated in this text, "First, the karmic appearances of samsara," and so on. If we explain this sequence a little, it is that we all repeatedly

The precious human body, a complete support that is difficult to obtain and, once obtained, is of great significance, now that we have obtained it this one time, if we do not practice the sacred Dharma that brings lasting happiness, then later, no matter what causes, conditions, examples, or numbers we consider, it will be difficult to obtain such a special bodily support again, and even if we do, it will be of great significance. Therefore, now, without letting leisure and opportunity be wasted and become empty, we must practice the genuine Dharma that attains the essence. As the great scholar said: "Like the Udumbara flower, which is rarely found again and again, obtaining it is as significant as a wish-fulfilling jewel. Now, when all the perfect conditions are gathered, strive with fierce diligence to transcend existence." Furthermore, the son of the Victorious Ones, Shantideva, said: "This leisure and opportunity are extremely difficult to obtain. Having obtained it, one should accomplish the benefit of beings. If one does not benefit from this, it will be difficult to obtain this perfection again later." He also said: "Having obtained such leisure, if I do not cultivate virtuous habits, then there is no other deception, and there is no other foolishness greater than this." The protector Nagarjuna said: "Like a wooden yoke in the ocean and a blind turtle finding its neck in the hole, it is more difficult to be reborn as a human than as an animal. O King, you should always practice the sacred Dharma." He also said. So, what kind of support is it for practicing the sacred Dharma? It is not the support of other beings, but this precious human body with the six elements. Chandra Gomi said: "The support for the Sugata's path, the vessel for guiding beings, is what can be obtained by humans with great mental strength. Gods and nagas cannot obtain it, nor can asuras, garudas, humans or non-humans, or those who crawl on their bellies." Therefore, just as when there is a boat, one must cross the river, when there is an army of heroes, one must conquer the enemy, and when water, fertilizer, warmth, and moisture are all present, one must sow seeds, similarly, when we have obtained the perfect support, we must attain the state of liberation and omniscience. As it is said in the Bodhicharyavatara: "Relying on the boat of the human body, one is freed from the great river of suffering. This boat is difficult to obtain again, so do not sleep foolishly." and "Do not commit unbearable great sins."
