As indicated by "complete equipment, clear and bright," etc., in a secluded and suitable place. On a comfortable cushion, it is important to straighten the body in the seven-point posture. The reason for this is that the body is like a city, the channels are like streets, and consciousness is like a lame person. Doing it that way is like being bound, the street gate is blocked, and people and horses cannot enter. Also, the legs are in the vajra posture, the hands are placed flat on the thighs, the spine is straightened like a conch, and the waist is slightly forward. The abdomen pushes against the ground, the upper body is straightened, and the arms are stretched like eagle's wings. The throat slightly presses the chin with the Adam's apple, and the tip of the tongue touches the palate. The eyeballs do not move, the eyelids do not blink, and gaze directly ahead. In this way, the various parts of the body are completely tightened, and the channels will be tightened. Like that,

Meditating with clarity is the first stage of visualization. Thus, in the body visualized as the deity, in the straight center of the clear, unobstructed body, visualize the central channel (Skt. avadhūti), red and clear, straight like the trunk of a tree, bright like a sesame oil lamp, radiating its own light. Red like it has been boiled in madder juice, very thin and clear like a lotus petal, possessing four characteristics. Its thickness is about the size of an arrow shaft, the upper end at the aperture of Brahma, and the lower end located four fingers below the navel. To its right, visualize the red rasanā channel, as fine as dust; to the left, visualize the white lalanā channel, filled with semen, both finer than the central channel. The two upper ends are curved, entering the two nostrils from between the eyebrows. These two channels, together with the central channel, run parallel as three channels, the lower ends slightly longer than the central channel, curving upwards and entering the central channel. At the location of each of the four chakras, the rasanā and lalanā channels connect internally in such a way that they dissolve into the central channel. From the petal holes of the four chakras, clear and transparent shapes arise. That is, the crown chakra, the chakra of great bliss, has thirty-two petals; the throat chakra, the enjoyment chakra, has sixteen petals; the heart chakra, the dharma chakra, has eight petals; and the navel chakra, the nirmāṇakāya chakra, has sixty-four petals. Meditate on all the petals as clear, transparent, and hollow. Although the rasanā and lalanā channels are not explicitly mentioned here, they can be understood through their meaning. It is said that even if the four chakras are not clearly visualized, merely visualizing the three channels clearly will accomplish what is needed. Having visualized clearly in this way, inside the central channel of the heart chakra, the dharma chakra, visualize a red dharma origin (chos 'byung), with a thin root pointing downwards and a wide stem pointing upwards, with three corners pointing to the right, left, and front. In the space inside it, visualize your own mind, a red hrīḥ (藏文,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:啥) syllable the size of a mustard seed, bright and radiant, emitting five kinds of light. Abandon all elaborations of past, future, and present thoughts, and constantly let the form of the hrīḥ (藏文,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:啥) syllable appear, and without distraction, maintain mindfulness, staying alert and focused. As it says in the Ornament of the Sutras: "Having placed the mind on the object of focus, do not let it wander." And as it says in the Quintessence of Reality: "Like a lamp unmoved by the wind, clear, non-conceptual, and undistracted."

To meditate in this way is the second session. Within that state, if thoughts suddenly arise and the appearance of objects suddenly dawns, then recognize that thought, and without following it into a continuous stream of judgments about its good or bad qualities, cut off the arising completely, gather your awareness completely, and place an unbearable, unwavering focus on the syllable ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: sha). From the practice of Vajrasattva's Mind: For a moment, rest the mind, Gather it completely; unmade, uncorrupted, without change; just as the sky is pure; rest without thought, without beginning or end. To meditate in this way is the third session. If, again, you focus too much and awareness becomes agitated and wild thoughts arise, then, endowed with the vigilance of non-distracted mindfulness, relax and loosen your body and mind into their natural state. As the Omniscient Dharma Lord said: Relax and loosen as if taking a break; do not think of anything, abandon mental activity. To meditate in this way is the fourth session. In short, the red syllable ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: sha) radiating five-colored light, and awareness and clear knowing, without regarding them separately as object and subject, relax and rest in a state of indivisible clarity and non-thought. This, it is said, is the most essential point. Furthermore, as Shavaripa said: The sky-soaring king remains without contraction or expansion; water, if not stirred, remains naturally clear; just as a skilled person trains an ox; look at the essence of a lamp, steady, clear, and sharp; a magical being is free from attachment and calculation; a bird dwells in the sky without support. To meditate in this way is the fifth session. From that, when the experience of clarity and stability arises, and due to the sound of ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: sha) arising clearly from the syllable ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: sha) like a thunderclap, all of the three realms, the container and its contents, dissolve shimmering into red light and merge into yourself, clear as a goddess. That dissolves into the central channel; that dissolves into the Dharmodaya; that dissolves into the syllable ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: sha), and the syllable ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: sha) becomes extremely subtle, to the point of being the space between one hundred horsehairs split apart, and finally, that too, like incense smoke vanishing into the sky, rest single-pointedly in the state of luminous emptiness, profound, peaceful, free from all elaboration, at the end of non-objectification. From Rangshar: Transcending the extremes of permanence and annihilation, the stains of the four extremes are self-purified. To meditate in this way is the sixth session. Second, the yoga of mantra recitation, which has two parts: the root instructions.
