In this context of common preliminaries, accumulating merit primarily relies on excellent objects. However, by making the object of generating bodhicitta, and by treating all sentient beings as aligned with oneself in action, even accumulating merit relying on inferior objects is actually complete. Secondly, the special preliminaries have two aspects: abandoning adverse obstacles and hindrances, and blessing conducive self-abiding resources and implements. The first has three parts: dispelling obstacles, establishing boundaries, and performing confession. The first also has two parts: arising as the innate deity, and offering the preliminary torma and issuing commands. The first is, according to the elaborate, intermediate, or concise common preliminary, after gathering the field of merit, or if gathered, connecting with ultimate bodhicitta. Meditating that all phenomena are empty and selfless eliminates ordinary clinging to reality. From this state, like a bubble bursting from water, in an instant, visualize oneself as the supreme horse Heruka, the glorious Vajra Rakshasa, fierce and wrathful in form. Like the approach, during the ripening instruction, recite the mantra of Hayagriva slightly. For mere aspirational instruction, it is permissible not to recite it. The second is, purify the obstacle torma with the horse mantra, and purify with Svabhava. From the state of emptiness, visualize that from Bhrum arises a precious vessel filled with the essence of the five desirable qualities of the torma. With the state of the inner channels and the interdependence of the dakini transforming the poison of the nagas into nectar, with the left and right hands forming the mudra of the dakini, while reciting Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ Hoḥ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ओम् आः हूँ होः, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ āḥ hūṃ hoḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om Ah Hum Hoh). As the mudras are arranged, each letter is marked, from which rays of light emanate, gradually, Oṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ओम्, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om) purifies all impure stains, making them flawless. Āḥ (Tibetan, Devanagari: आः, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah) multiplies the substances, increasing and expanding infinitely. Hūṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हुँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) makes the essence of whatever is desired, the color, fragrance, and taste that appear in this way, fully realized. And this is also transformed by Hoḥ (Tibetan, Devanagari: होः, Romanized Sanskrit: hoḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hoh) purifying the stains of contaminated existence, into the nectar of uncontaminated wisdom. Then, from the light of the heart, and the seal of Heruka, the brow tied to the left of the eyebrows with eyes facing upwards, recite Pheṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: फेँ, Romanized Sanskrit: pheṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Phem) inviting the guests. After the name, add Oṃ Sarva Vighnam (Tibetan, Devanagari: ओम् सर्व विघ्नम्, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ sarva vighnam, Literal Chinese meaning: Om Sarva Vighnam), and the mantra of the Akashagarbha Shama, adding Grihṇe daṃ baliṃ ta svāhā (Tibetan, Devanagari:, Romanized Sanskrit:, Literal Chinese meaning: ), thereby pacifying the obstructing demons of karmic debts.
