Above the decorations, on the lotus and sun-moon seat. The kindness of the Lama is mainly obtained through the path of hearing, therefore the root Lama has the form of Speech Vajradhara. With compassion clinging to sentient beings, hence the body color is red. To symbolize the union of bliss and emptiness as one, the vajra and bell are crossed at the heart, and to symbolize the non-duality of samsara and nirvana, the feet are in the vajra full lotus posture. Adorned with silk and precious jewels, rays of immaculate light emanate from the body, the splendor of the marks and signs blazes supremely, surrounded by the lineage Lamas, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, noble Hearers and Solitary Realizers, Yidams, Dharma Protectors, and a dense cloud of Dakini hosts. All of these have no partiality in compassion and no high or low in realization, the root Lama's mind is the illusory play of bliss and emptiness, appearing as if directly blessing me, so contemplate. With great faith and reverence, in order to accumulate merit, perform the seven-branch practice: Emanating one's own body into as many particles as there are in the realms of the ten directions, together with sentient beings pervading space, prostrate with great reverence, this is the first branch. Emanating immeasurable offering goddesses from the heart, offering with all the wonderful offerings of the supreme outer, inner, and secret, and the incomparable suchness itself, this is the second branch. From beginningless lifetimes, due to the control of afflictions, confessing and revealing the sins and non-virtuous deeds done by body, speech, and mind, with the four powers complete, this is the third branch. Rejoicing from the depths of the heart in the activities that benefit all sentient beings, and in all the virtues of oneself and others, this is the fourth branch. Requesting those who intend to show the manner of passing into nirvana, the incarnate Buddhas, to remain for great eons, as many as the number of dust particles in the oceans of the ten directions, this is the fifth branch. For the sake of liberating those to be tamed, urging them to turn the wheel of Dharma, deep and vast, according to the differences in their respective minds, this is the sixth branch. Representing this, whatever merit of virtuous deeds has been done by oneself and others in the three times and in connection with them

Gathering all these together, dedicating them completely to the unsurpassed, perfect, great enlightenment, seized by the view of selflessness and propelled by the means of bodhicitta, is the seventh. In sequence, it becomes the antidote to the main pride, attachment, hatred, jealousy, wrong view, ignorance, and doubt. For these meanings, with one-pointed mind, one recites in the mouth: 'Victors with their offspring and retinue,' and so on. The benefits of doing so are immeasurable. As it says in the Sutra of the Question of Glorious Subha: 'Whoever to the Buddhas of the ten directions, focuses and joins palms in reverence, likewise makes offerings, rejoices in all merits, also confesses sins, urges and makes requests, the accumulation of merit of that one, constantly arises filling the sky.' So it is said. Then, in order for blessings to enter, one prays. That is, to whom, by whom, how, and why one prays. To whom does one pray? Gathering all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas into the essence of the root and lineage guru. Moreover, the dharmadhatu is extremely unborn, free from elaborations such as ends, middles, directions, and parts, the aspect of the empty image of the bliss-emptiness one taste itself, that is the field where the Tathagatas attain enlightenment, or the place of the Buddhas, which is called the palace of the dharmakaya, which is the Akanishta of true meaning. In the expanse of the essence of primordial purity, when the light of awareness is liberated, one manifestly awakens on the ground of the unchanging lineage, the self-nature, the completely pure dharmata, the primordial ground. That very self-appearing body of the Buddha is the guide who liberates samsara and nirvana primordially, therefore he is the supreme protector. In the intention of the three kayas, without union or separation, he abides without change in the three times, therefore he is the field of activity, Samantabhadra. In the intention of the endless appearance of the light of clear light wisdom, he constantly delights, therefore he is the teacher abiding in the essence of the dharmakaya. As it says in the All-Creating King: 'Since I am earlier than all the victors, the father and mother who show the three kayas arise.' So it is said. Thus, from the uninterrupted appearance of the resonance of the inner clear dharmakaya, the self-born, uncompounded vajra realm, in the place of the great bliss of Akanishta, the self-appearing, spontaneously accomplished, clear light emptiness.
