The five are: downward-moving air, life-sustaining air, upward-moving air, pervasive air. The life-sustaining air resides above the navel, dwelling within the central channel. From there, it moves upward through the two nasal passages. Predominantly of the water element, its color is white. Its function is to sustain life, to grasp at "I" or self, and to generate various kinds of conceptual thoughts. If its position is reversed, it will transform from memory loss to fainting, madness, and death. At this time, it descends mixed with a portion of all temporal divisions, but it alone descends twenty-one thousand six hundred times on the day of death. As stated in the Vajra Garland Tantra: "The movement of the Lord of Space truly moves at the time of death." The downward-moving air resides below the navel, moving through the two lower orifices. It belongs to the earth element, its color is yellow. Its function is to expel and control the three: excrement, urine, and semen. If reversed, it will generate coldness and diseases of the lower body. The even-dwelling air resides together with the fire of the navel, moving in all directions through the channels. It belongs to the wind element, its color is blue or black. In the stomach, it separates the essence and dregs of food and drink, distributing the essence to the body and discarding the dregs below. If reversed, it will generate stomach diseases. The upward-moving air resides in the throat, belonging to the fire element, its color is red. It draws speech and the life-sustaining air from the mouth and nose, performing activities such as swallowing food, inducing vomiting, and expelling nasal blood. If reversed, it will generate fever and diseases of the upper body. The pervasive air is connected to sensation, generally residing in the entire body, and especially in the joints. It belongs to the space element, its color is green. It performs activities such as extending and contracting limbs, moving, walking, and coming and going. If reversed, it will generate diseases of the limbs such as paralysis and contraction. The five limb airs that are the support of the five senses are: moving air, extremely moving air, intensely moving air, manifestly moving air, and perfectly moving air. Other differences in names. The Vajra Garland says: "Dragon, turtle, crocodile, and the god-given and victorious from the bow." These also appear. These five, in order, reside in the five sense supports of the eye, ear, nose, tongue, and skin, becoming the support of the five consciousnesses, performing the activity of grasping the five objects such as forms. If reversed, it will generate the diseases of that particular sense. The air that is the mount of wisdom resides in the heart, mixing with the other five limb airs, thereby becoming independent.

, because it is not explained separately. That is, its function is to control the arising of the appearance of the dharma-sphere in the mind. Among these five, the wind that truly moves can keep the body from scattering into pieces even after it is separated from life. Moreover, when the ten winds are summarized into five winds, the five winds of the limbs mainly arise from the life-sustaining wind, so they are included in it. Specifically, the wind that flows from the two nostrils is four of the six branches previously divided from the sixty-four pulse petals of the navel wheel, because it is the transfer of the central channel, so it does not fall into the mandala, and is called the four empty channels. The way the remaining sixty branches flow is that from the pulse channels at the ends of the pores, the winds of the pulse wheels mix with the wind of the navel wheel, and fall into the nostrils from the path of single suffering. The right side is the order of earth, water, fire, wind, and space, which is the wind of equal seasons such as the ox of the absorption stage; the left side is the order of space, wind, fire, water, and earth, which is the six winds of unequal seasons such as the sheep of the generation stage. Each season is also the nature of the five great elements, so each small transfer element has three hundred and sixty breaths, that is, one hour; one large transfer is complete, each season has one thousand eight hundred breaths, that is, five hours. When twelve seasons are complete, there are twenty-one thousand six hundred breaths a day, that is, sixty hours. The share of wisdom of these, the breath of the central channel, although not separated from these, is calculated from each one, and on one breath, there is one half of the breath divided into thirty-two parts. Accumulating these, when a small transfer is complete, there are eleven and a quarter; when one season is complete, there are fifty-six and a quarter; there are six hundred and seventy-five a day. From accumulating these, there are eleven days and one thirteenth of a day more in a year. Because in the worldly appearance, every thirty-two and a half months is counted as one month, it is called a surplus month. This is also the reason why gradually accumulating one hundred years produces three and three-quarters of a year. This is from outward Walking and growing is said to be a sign of death, while grasping inward accomplishes immortality. The wind of small transfer towards
