It will become realized. Third, if the meditation of uniting with clear light is not accomplished, then one should train by combining it with the yoga of daytime appearance and sleep. Even those with dull faculties, by combining with the yoga of daytime appearance and sleep, and meditating with one-pointed focus, the clear light of sleep will manifest, and the dream will be accomplished as the wisdom body. As it is said, during the day, whatever appears, look at it closely, thinking: I have fallen asleep. All these appearances are appearances of dreams. In the appearance of dreams, dissolve this into clear light, and then arise from it as the deity body. With such aspiration, and the visualization of previously gathering the environment and beings into clear light and arising from it, alternate between the two and meditate repeatedly. Also, meditate intensely before going to sleep, and by sleeping, one will remember the previous visualization, thereby seizing the clear light of sleep, and from that state, one will be able to arise as the dream deity body. During these times of seizing dreams, if one does not want to dream, one will fall into emptiness-scattering. Even if one dreams, if one does not recognize it as a dream, one will fall into suffering-scattering or confusion-scattering. If one wakes up immediately after seizing the dream, one will fall into wakefulness-scattering. Even if one seizes a dream once, but immediately mistakes it for an ordinary dream, one will fall into dullness-scattering. Therefore, whichever of the four scatterings occurs, the antidote, the essential instruction for cutting off scattering, is very important, and one must receive it from the guru. Third, the union through the after-effect of mudra.

Through uninterrupted effort, one becomes accustomed to and skilled in increasing the appearance of the deity. Due to the stable cause of the dissolving bliss of subtle and coarse stages, the deity's body, composed solely of wind and mind, ceases the appearance of an ordinary body in meditative equipoise. The yogi's body base then clearly and stably arises, thus the illusory body is accomplished. Although merely seeing the deity in the completion stage exists from the stages of body vajra and speech vajra, obtaining the deity is from this point of the first half of mind vajra. That is because the yoga of body vajra binds the channels, transforming the two winds of the left and right channels into the dharma nature of the central channel. The first half of speech vajra blocks the two winds in the central channel, and the latter half, through the power of the life-supporting downward-moving wind, causes the fire of action to blaze. From this, the fire of wisdom becomes autonomous, and the boundless empty forms of the three realms abide manifestly, emanating into one's own illusory body. From the sound of Anusmriti (Tibetan: ཨ་ནུ་མྲྀ་ཏི,Sanskrit Devanagari: अनुस्मृति,Sanskrit Romanization: anusmṛti, Chinese literal meaning: mindfulness), mindfulness or recollection, that is, again remembering and contemplating the previously meditated empty form, the great seal, one accomplishes dissolving bliss and non-leakage through repeated practice and intense effort.\\ The meaning is the same as mindfulness spoken of in other tantras. Here, the empty form can affect the practitioner's body. Relying on the eye of wisdom, the yogi manifestly sees the desired deity, or obtains the deity's body characterized by the illusory body. After accomplishing the illusory body in this way, how does one practice mindfulness? The base tummo is the samaya mudra, what binds it is the great mudra, and the conceptualized are the wisdom and karma mudras. When the faculties are dull and the bindu is easily lost, one cannot fully draw forth the four joys without relying on the karma mudra. Therefore, one practices the three unions, combining karma, wisdom, and the great mudra into one. Then, as one ages and the faculties become intermediate, and the bindu is somewhat difficult to maintain, one cannot fully draw forth bliss relying solely on the great mudra, and even if there is no karma mudra, it is permissible. One practices the two unions, combining the wisdom mudra and the great mudra. Again, as the faculties increase and become sharp, and the bindu becomes extremely difficult to maintain, one perfects dissolving bliss relying solely on the great mudra.
