The arising of clarity is the basis of the day signs, therefore it is not counted separately among the ten signs. The six day signs that arise from that are: the four elements of wind, fire, water, and earth of the left mandala, and the wind of the sky above the left, these five converging in the central channel, sequentially appearing: named "yellow burning," like the appearance of a flickering flame; named "white burning," like the appearance of the moon from the first to the fifteenth; named "red burning," like the appearance of the sun rising and just rising. Among these three, the first has more red in a dark room, and more white in a cloudless sky. The latter two appear as colorless gray circles and green during the day. Named "Vajra," the appearance of Rahu, black burning, appearing as a round black jewel and the shape of eyes, etc. Named "Supreme Part," appearing as the light of lightning, etc., like an arrow shot.

Although some consider these to be definite signs, generally, all signs that appear are included within the ten signs. For example, when seeing something like a landscape in an empty form, if coarse things like mountains, forests, and cities appear to move and arise and cease, that is the sign of smoke. If subtle parts move, that is a mirage. If it moves with light and repeatedly arises and ceases, that is a firefly. If it is with light and does not move, that is the sign of a lamp. If these do not obscure each other and remain clear and transparent, they are categorized as the sign of the sky. Similarly, it can be applied to other situations as well. At these times, the ways in which bodily experiences, etc., manifest are also like this. Bodily experiences are such that, due to the five elements of earth, water, fire, wind, and space, the body feels heavy and large, cold and smooth, warm and sweaty, comfortable and cool, light and throbbing. Mental experiences are also, in order, sinking and dull, clear and comfortable, scattered and agitated, clear and scattered, clear and abiding without conceptualization. Dream experiences are also, in order, smoky and obscured, being pressed down by a burden, water flowing, fire burning, floating in the sky, seeing a wide valley, and so on. Among the six daytime signs, they are mostly similar, with the bodily experience being soft and comfortable, and not feeling the presence of the body. The verbal experience is just barely perceiving the movement of air. The mental experience is a clear, empty, and non-conceptual state. At this time, all appearances of oneself and others seem to be nothing at all, and there may also be fear of being swallowed by a cliff. One should be certain that this is an experience of cultivating non-conceptual samadhi and not be afraid. In particular, starting from when the mind slightly abides in non-conceptuality and various signs are seen, while abiding in the state of non-conceptuality, intense bodily experiences such as trembling, throbbing, and shaking may occur. Intense verbal experiences such as garrulousness, clamor, and mantra recitation may occur. Initially, they arise from a state of clear emptiness, and later, accompanied by great bliss, they arise spontaneously and non-conceptually in the state of equipoise. In the post-meditation state, various mental experiences such as wanting to express joy and sorrow may occur. If these experiences are cultivated as they arise, obstacles and faults will naturally dissolve, and qualities will increase. Some explain these appearances of the ten signs as mere illusions because they are described as signs.

It is extremely unreasonable to think like that, because the wisdom of the true nature of reality abides in oneself, and it is the cause of generating faith that it will be manifested through the path of cultivation. Therefore, it is said to be a sign. For example, seeing a snow mountain from a distance, it is both a real snow mountain and a reliable sign that one will surely encounter the snow mountain in a few days after going there. Similarly, seeing these appearances symbolizes the rapid attainment of the Dharma nature. Fourth, the seeing manifest and its basis, the manifest has four types such as root manifest. In the case of the body vajra, it is the root manifest; similarly, in the speech vajra, it is the mind manifest; in the first half of the mind vajra, it is the yoga manifest, and in the second half, it is seen by the self-awareness manifest. This is in terms of the main function and newly acquired aspects of each stage. Generally speaking, each one has all four manifests. Because the conceptual thoughts of the mind are stopped, and it is the wisdom associated with the bliss of bindu, it is the mind manifest; because it holds the emptiness form of the root consciousness of the true meaning, it is the root manifest; because it is the samadhi of the Dharma nature manifest, it is the yoga manifest; because it is the nature of abiding, the awareness of the non-duality of knower and known, it is the self-awareness manifest. Then, if the body vajra also has the yoga manifest, then will the person who abides in it not become a noble one? He will not become a noble one. Because only the noble ones have the yoga manifest that has eliminated the seeds of the inherent obscurations, but here it is not present, so this is the difference between the manifest of ordinary and noble ones, the venerable ones say so. The basis of the measure of the seeing manifest is the order of the senses. In the "Praise of Names," it is said, "Possessing the five eyes without attachment." Therefore, in the case of the body vajra, at the time of first seeing the emptiness form, it is the flesh eye, and after cultivating through meditation until obtaining clairvoyance, it is the divine eye, at the end of the speech vajra, because of accomplishing non-leakage, it is equal to an arhat, it is a small Buddha, so it is the Buddha eye, in the first half of the mind vajra, because of being able to widely practice benefiting others, obtaining the name of a bodhisattva, and having the wisdom that can symbolize the nature of abiding, it is the wisdom eye.
