There is no bondage. Just as the sky is pure, rest in non-conceptualization, without beginning or end. Also, as stated in the 'Heart Drop': The mind itself, uncorrected and free from grasping, rest with one-pointed focus, without distraction, in equanimity. Also, as some tantras say: Having well placed the lingam in the bhaga, do not generate bodhicitta. All three realms should be meditated upon as the form of the Buddha. This means that having placed the lingam of wind-mind in the bhaga of the navel chakra, one should meditate without even slightly scattering conceptual thoughts. Third, the yoga of self-liberation is like associating with the middle one of three brothers. Like three brothers in a neighborhood, the older and younger two do not play together because their strength is not equal, but the middle brother plays happily with the one who is equal in age and strength. If, by focusing the mind and meditating, the wind rushes upward, the eye sockets ache, and instead of wisdom dawning, one faints, and pains arise, then abandoning thoughts of the past and future, without manipulating the present awareness, one should rest in the natural state, relying on the mindfulness that recognizes one's own nature. As stated in the 'Great Sky': Do not analyze before or after, abandon the concept of the past. Do not welcome the future, cut the ties of the mind. In the middle, without grasping, rest in the state of the sky. It is said that because this makes all appearances of thoughts self-purify, it is called the yoga of self-liberation, or because it makes all appearances equal in the dharmadhatu, it is also called the yoga of one taste or equal taste. Fourth, the yoga of non-effort is like tying and untying a donkey. When a herdsman ties a donkey to a stake, it becomes cramped and cannot eat grass, and can only pull back and forth roughly. When it is untied from the stake and released, it runs for a while, then relaxes, lies down, and eats grass. Similarly, if the mind becomes agitated and restless due to excessive effort in meditation, and the mind does not abide, then simply maintain undistracted mindfulness, without meditating on anything, relax and release it, and make it spacious. As Saraha said: The mind bound by ropes, when released, is undoubtedly liberated. Whatever thing binds the deluded, the wise one is liberated by that. Those who are bound strive to run in all directions, but when they are freed, they remain unmoving and stable. This is the reverse of the donkey.

Like this, I understand. Those who give birth to children also value themselves. As the Omniscient Dharma Lord said: Like resting, relax and let go, think of nothing, abandon mental fabrication. In short, the method of settling the mind, even if only one is used, must have all four objects of focus. Do not regard the indestructible bindu at the navel and the clear sequence of awareness as two separate things, but rather as inseparable, clear, and non-conceptual, relax and abide without fabrication or distraction, this is the most crucial point. The venerable Ritröpa said: Like the Garuda soaring in the sky, abide without gathering or dispersing; like water undisturbed, let it remain naturally clear; like a wise person tending cattle; steady, clear, watch the wick of a lamp; like a magical being, free from attachment and calculation; like a bird without support, let it abide in the sky. This is a wonderful instruction combined with six similes. Like a Garuda soaring in the sky, settle the mind without gathering or dispersing. Like water that remains clear when left undisturbed, settle the mind without being disturbed by thoughts, without doing anything. Like a shepherd tending cattle, relax and settle naturally. Like a vessel filled with butter, the root of the trunk is stable, the tip is not forked, light a lamp, dispel the darkness, and the house is filled with light. The root of calm abiding is stable, the clarity of recognizing one's own nature appears, there is no forking of conceptual thought, the darkness of dualistic clinging is dispelled, and the light of clarity pervades. Just as a magician has no attachment to the illusions he conjures, so too, to the various appearances of one's own mind, without attachment, clinging, or calculation, settle in natural liberation. Like a bird flying and abiding in the sky without support, without focusing on anything, abide without straying from the realm of equality. Having meditated in this way, if the mind is not stable and wanders, one must rely on antidotes. There are two ways of wandering: when the mind wanders during settling, sudden thoughts arise, and the appearance of objects clearly appears in the mind, as soon as it appears, it is caught by one's own awareness. At this time, without making any affirmation, negation, or discrimination, completely cut off the wandering and continue to abide as before. If various ordinary thoughts wander and spread like a stream, that is very bad. When does it wander?
