That which is obscured by sudden obscurations and unable to recognize its own nature, through the purification of emptiness, which is pure in its own nature, in such a way that the ordinary body, speech, and mind are purified, thereby manifesting the original wisdom, the body, speech, and mind of the deity, is called co-emergent meditation, which is established as co-emergent through the means of faith and the means of the generation stage. Thus, of the two meanings, the latter is more important here. There are three ways to practice this: the yoga of the body's generation stage mudra, the yoga of speech's recitation mantra, and the yoga of the mind's absorption into luminosity and arising. The first is further divided into meditating on the Samaya Being, the Wisdom Being, and the Samadhi Being. These three can purify the defilements of samsara, the coarse body, and the bindu within the channels, primarily in the heart, as well as the energies and mind that depend on it. If we take the result as the path, it is the body with the channels, the bindu with the energies, and the mind of great bliss of luminosity. These can take the state of manifesting dharmata as the path. At the time of the completion stage, the essence of the channels, elements, energies, and mind will transform into the maturing cause for the manifestation of the deity. Among these, meditating on the Samaya Being is also divided into visualizing the outer form as the body of the deity, and clearly visualizing the chakras on the body of the deity. The first is: Or, having perfected the preliminaries, from emptiness in an instant, one becomes the Lord Avalokiteshvara, with complete ornaments and attire, clear and unmixed. That is to say, meditate in this way on the extensive generation stage described earlier, or on the abbreviated generation stage. Regarding this, if the preliminary practices have been perfected through the guidance of the maturing path, then it is sufficient to practice only refuge, bodhicitta, and guru yoga. If, during the quick guidance, there is no time to practice two or three preliminary practices, then until all the guidance is completed, practice the common and uncommon preliminary practices intensely and persistently for as long as possible in the morning session, and in the evening session, it is sufficient to practice only the preliminary practice of the session. Then, with the body posture in accordance with the general seven-point posture of Vairochana, these phenomena of appearance and sound of oneself and others, although appearing, are not true.

After meditating briefly on emptiness as illusion, all appearances vanish like a rainbow dissolving into the sky, and the mind rests slightly in the absence of appearance. Then, resting in the pride of thinking, "All dharmas are naturally pure, the wisdom that is empty of the two graspers is the essence of the Sugata," is the samadhi of emptiness as suchness. For sentient beings who have not realized this, the self-sounding of great bliss and the power of compassion without an object appear, which is the samadhi of all-appearing. From the state of the wisdom of the union of these two, like an image appearing in clear water, one should meditate on oneself as the body of the Lord Great Compassionate One, Avalokiteshvara, with instantaneous recollection and completion. Thus, these three samadhis gradually purify the defilements of the three deaths, intermediate states, and births of cyclic existence at the time of the base, and at the time of the result, they make the aspects of manifesting the three bodies of dharma, enjoyment, and emanation into the path. At the time of the completion stage, from the clear light of meaning, through the cause of great compassion, it becomes the ripening cause for rising as the deity body of the union of wisdom. The characteristics of the deity of the generation stage are: The Bhagavan Great Compassionate One, who abides in the nature of the unchanging appearance of great bliss on the seat of the unstained lotus and the stacked sun and moon of skillful means and wisdom, is red in color because of the attachment to beings to be tamed; one face symbolizes the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu; four arms symbolize the remaining four wisdoms and the four immeasurables; the first two arms join the palms at the heart because of the union of emptiness and compassion; the bliss of the same essence as these two has no thoughts of change, and to symbolize the meaning of the manifestation of the five wisdoms, the palms are clasped together with a five-pronged vajra embracing the consort; the lower two arms lead beings out of samsara, holding a lotus garland, and holding a red utpala flower tree because of being free from attachment to samsara; the feet are in the vajra posture because they do not abide on the edge of existence and peace; and because they protect beings from the suffering of afflictions, they are adorned with white silk of divine substance, an upper garment with gold swan patterns, and various lower skirts and silk ribbons with patterns. All virtuous dharmas
