From the perspective of empowerment, it is called empowerment because it completely pours or infuses. It washes away or pours out the impurities to be purified, in order to establish the special ability to practice the path and attain the fruit. As it is said in the Hevajra Tantra: "What is called pouring and infusing, therefore it is called empowerment." Third, regarding the three empowerments of cause, path, and fruit, the cause-time empowerment must first be received from the guru, because it is that which ripens. If so, then it must be obtained before listening and contemplating the respective paths of mantra. The path-time empowerment can be received later from the guru or by oneself if one possesses vows, because it is the empowerment that increases the lineage of empowerment that has already been ripened. The fruit-time empowerment is conferred at the final moment of the completion of the path of learning, because it is the empowerment that unites with the ultimate fruit. Among these, here the cause-time empowerment of unsurpassed yoga is also determined to be fourfold, because what is to be purified is the four impurities, what purifies is the four paths of generation and completion stages, and the fruit of purification is determined to be the four bodies. As it is also said in the Root Tantra: "The master, secret wisdom, and the fourth immediately following, in order to purify the defilements of conceptual thought, there are four aspects of empowerment." Fourth, regarding the system of how to empower, the mandala into which one enters, and the order of rituals for empowering the entrant. First, for the realm of activity of the accomplished ones, previously the great teacher Padmasambhava showed the mandala of Vajrakila that was inseparable from the sky at Taktsang, and empowered Kharchenza. The mandala of the guru's emanation that the disciple is able to see is the emanation mandala, and like obtaining a sign of tangible vision, obtaining clarity in samadhi, or even if one does not obtain it, being able to clearly visualize the form of the mandala in sequence, is the mind mandala. Needless to say, such an emanation mandala, even the mind mandala alone that can clearly delineate the form of the mandala can well accomplish the ripening mandala, and for the path empowerment that increases upward after ripening, it is especially accomplished by the power of faith, even if clarity is not accomplished, it is fine. Even so, most people nowadays ripen

The capable mandala is: Depending on the four empowerments, the support mandala where one is placed also has four types. The vase empowerment is: Especially empowering in the mandala of images, and according to the difference in capacity, for lower capacities, relying on colored powders; for medium capacities, relying on paintings; for superior capacities, relying on piles and other slight objects of focus, empowerment can also be performed. As it says in the root text of the empowerment ritual of the "Collected Peaceful and Wrathful Deities of the Eight Commands": "In which mandala is the empowerment given? Superior, medium, and inferior are the three. Flowers, images, and colored powders three, empowerment is given in the three mandalas." This is what is said. The practice of the current noble lamas is to recognize empowerment being given in either a colored powder or painted mandala. Similarly, for the three supreme empowerments, generally, the suchness of oneself is the mandala of the body, and in particular, for the secret empowerment, it is the suchness of mantra, the mandala of the letter bhaga (藏文:བྷ་ག,梵文天城体:bhaga,梵文罗马拟音:bhaga,汉语字面意思:female genitalia); for the wisdom empowerment, it is the suchness of the deity, the mandala of conventional bodhicitta; for the fourth empowerment, it is the suchness of wisdom, the mandala of ultimate bodhicitta, or the order of the bhaga (藏文:བྷ་ག,梵文天城体:bhaga,梵文罗马拟音:bhaga,汉语字面意思:female genitalia) and conventional bodhicitta mandalas can also be reversed, and there is no contradiction. Secondly: It should be understood from the determination of the three, action, agent, and deed. The agent is the vajra master. The deed is like how planting seeds requires preparing the field, through preliminaries and entry, the empowerment is performed on the disciple's mindstream, which has been trained, with a special ritual that is a collection of substance, mantra, and samadhi, the action is to make the disciple's three doors, gross and subtle, recognize the purity as the deity who is complete with the three seats from the beginning, thereby purifying or diminishing the stains to be purified according to their respective shares, and through the power of nourishing the wisdom of self-nature to be attained, the wisdom of the two stages is manifestly generated, or like how seeds sprout when water, fertilizer, temperature, and moisture are gathered, the potential for certain arising is matured, therefore the difference in the transformation of the mindstream is the attainment of empowerment. Moreover, what is empowered is the benefit of the outer empowerment or the five wisdom empowerments, and the giving of the power empowerment and the three vows, and explaining their function: giving appearance, giving permission, giving, is the empowerment of the vajra master, and following that, the inner empowerment transforms the three, appearance, sound, and movement, into the wheels of deity, mantra, and wisdom.
