G. Now, regarding life: The nature of reality, spontaneously accomplished from the beginning, like the heart or essence of all saṃsāra and nirvāṇa, is the ultimate life. It is universally present from the peaceful and wrathful buddhas to the insects in the grass, without good or bad qualities. For example, space pervades all the elements composed of earth, water, fire, and wind. Now, the life to be attracted here is, as Vasubandhu said: "Life is life, warmth, and, the basis of consciousness." Therefore, the root of life, or life itself, or the pure wind element that is the basis and cause of the continuous existence of warmth and consciousness. Moreover, in the lower two realms, it is the basis of both warmth and consciousness, while in the formless realm, it is only the basis of consciousness. Similarly, as stated in the Guhyatantra of Mañjuśrī's Wheel: "The meaning of what is called life, is the nature of reality without elaboration, constantly unchanging like space, immaculate and indestructible by time. In the state of delusion of all beings, due to being deceived by bad habits, interruptions in life will occur. Therefore, the practice of life is taught." Thus. If we differentiate between life and lifespan, the wind of the five elements is life, and the temporal aspect of its causing the body to arise, dwell, and cease is lifespan. How is it attracted? Just as the act of souring milk causes the power of sweetness to ripen into sourness, so the vidyā-mantra binds its life to the object of focus. Mind: As previously stated: "The sixth, immediately after cessation, whatever consciousness is, that is mind." Therefore, the ālaya-vijñāna, emanating from the five sense doors into various forms, etc., is the consciousness that takes possession of the object of awareness. Moreover, it is the continuous engagement of the consciousness of discrimination that arises from the initial emanation of gyu gyu hrig hrig. How is it attracted? Just as the mind of a desirous man is moved by attachment to a pleasing object of desire, so the vidyā-mantra infuses it into the object of focus. Form: Generally, there are many classifications of form, but the form to be discussed here is the life-force. Moreover, from the essence of the aforementioned lifespan gathered in the various places of the body, the magical manifestation of its power appears as the illusory play of habitual images of humans and śavas, etc. How is it attracted?

When the wandering spirit is in various states, to counteract those appearances of forms, one must urge the messengers, causing them to be involuntarily attracted. Therefore, in the treasure texts, it says: To perform magic, one must know the oral instructions for killing the messengers of the wandering spirit. To transform the wandering spirit into human form, one must summon, curse, and kill the messengers—yakshas, rakshasas, and so on. It also says that the wandering spirit wanders like a sheep without a shepherd, one must curse the messengers—rakshasi women who are like the iron hammers of blacksmiths, and then cast them into the dung pit, the prison of the three realms of samsara. One must summon them to the lingam (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) as the basis for gathering consciousness, and then fix them with the three pegs of life, heart, and life-force, causing them to be attached to forms. Because there is a wandering spirit in the mind, it is impossible for the wandering spirit to escape from the mind. Such statements are countless. Binding with the signs of summoning and the signs of immutability comes from the secret life-dagger of the phurba: Forms also have two types, finite and infinite. Finite is changing, and infinite is unchanging. Sheep, deer, and yaks do not change. If they appear in reality, then fix them. Other sentient beings change. For the wandering of the unchanging life-form, one must fix it with an iron peg that is in accordance with the mantra. Thus it is said. Moreover, there are five places to fix the peg. Although it is said to be the head and five limbs, in reality, it is fixed only in the heart, which is connected to the body and mind. Such statements are countless. At this time, the distinction from the deities is: From one's own nostrils and all pores, emanate a crowd of wrathful deities filling the sky. Visualize his guardian deities being blown away like bird feathers by the wind, and distinguish them with the certainty of the oral instructions. Generally, there is no need to distinguish deities from obstacles, but it is important to know this according to the situation. In any case, from the hum (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) syllable in the heart of oneself in front, emanate a dark blue bhrum (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) syllable, entering the door of the mind of the visualized target. Upon reaching its abdomen, it transforms into a sharp object capable of cutting the wheel of meteoric iron, rotating violently, turning all flesh, bones, and internal organs into red fragments, and visualize the acting messengers greedily devouring it like vultures gathering on a corpse in a charnel ground. This symbolizes reciting the killing mantra, the place of death, the placement, etc., as a unified whole, according to the key oral instructions. Finally, visualize the torma and other substances as an army gathered from the arrogant eight classes of gods and demons, a fierce hailstorm of diseases, weapons, and poisons, fiercely pouring down on the visualized target, thereby destroying it like a sandcastle being washed away by water.
