If it appears clearly, then meditate by taking that as an example. Then, visualize the form of the deity in clear water and gaze at it intently, so that the mental image appears clearly. Without looking at it anymore, focus single-pointedly on having that form appear on your own body. If it is difficult to appear clearly, then, As before, actually place in front of you a thangka of Vajra Garland Power (Rdo rje thod phreng rtsal) in union, which is easy to visualize. From that point, from the seven-fold posture of Vajra sitting, this time place both hands face down on your knees and straighten your hands. Also, adjust your body posture and expel the impure air. Then, when the air slowly comes out, fix your eyes and awareness on the visualized image in front of you, suppress the air, and meditate with single-pointed concentration. If it feels like you can't hold the air, then when inhaling slowly, visualize the deity in front of you coming forth like fire and becoming inseparable from you, and then remain in that state, binding it immovably like a vase. Repeating this several times will make it appear clearly, and if it appears clearly, then immediately interrupt and rest. If it doesn't appear clearly, then also interrupt immediately and repeat the vase breathing in short sessions with many repetitions. In general, mix with the obstacles of dullness and agitation, and even during the breaks between sessions, combine your activities with the clear visualization of the deity's form in your mind, it is said that this was heard from the great vidyādhara treasure revealer. This is from the words of the supreme lama, the Sugata, the chief of ḍākinīs, 'Gro 'dul rdo rje snying po. When it has become clear and stable in this way and you are familiar with it, then learn the three mixings. Visualize a dark blue Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hūṃ,seed syllable) syllable, clear and radiant, about the size of a thumb, in the heart of your own Garland Power deity. From that, rays of five-colored light emanate, and when the rays touch any object around you, visualize that all attachment and conceptualization are purified and appear as the deity. Gradually, purify everything from places and so on, until finally all appearances of the outer and inner world are purified. Then, mix all appearances into the deity and the palace. In this way, that deity form is also just the self-display of your own mind-essence; there is no deity apart from the mind, and no mind apart from the deity. The inseparability of mind and deity is also the embodiment of the exhaustion of all faults, the perfection of all qualities, the arising of all desires, and the totality of all buddhas, ye.

From the very beginning, regard the lineage-gathering Lama Vajra Garland Power as your own deity, and meditate until you have a special conviction that the deity is the self-power of your own mind's awareness. All appearances appear as inseparable from mind and deity, yet appearances are not established by their own nature, clarity is without grasping, bliss is without attachment, not loose like a painted image, not coarse like clay, established as the form of appearance but not established as the form of grasping, like a rainbow in the sky or an image in a mirror. In short, like an illusory appearance, appearance is established but grasping is not established, abide in the spontaneously accomplished bliss, clarity, emptiness, purity, and vastness. When you become weary of meditating in this way, secondly, enter the wheel of mantra recitation of speech, and among the three, learn the subtle thing, the Vajra recitation, that is, with the body posture complete and the mind focused on visualizing yourself as the deity in union with your consort, if the clarity of appearance is interrupted, recite once. Then, focus the mind for a moment on the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 吽) at the heart center. After that, slowly exhale three subtle and long breaths, clearing away sickness, evil spirits, sins, and obscurations, and visualize in this way. Then, let awareness rest in the natural flow of breath. At that time, as the breath enters, remember the sound of Oṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओं, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 嗡), as it abides, remember the sound of Āḥ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Chinese literal meaning: 啊), and as it exits, remember the sound of Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 吽). Combine the three phases of breath—entering, abiding, and exiting—with the three syllables, and practice the Vajra recitation, in which the three original emptinesses of breath are inseparable, to the best of your ability until you do not become weary. By striving in this way, special signs of accomplishment in the Vajra recitation itself will appear, it is said. Then, secondly, is the self-place wind recitation. The body posture is the seven-point posture, with the hands placed face down on the knees, wrists straight, and eyes gazing at the space directly in front. Then, the point of focus is to visualize the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 吽) at the heart center of yourself as the deity in union with your consort, and focus the mind for a moment. Then, clear away the impure air, and relying on the sound of the upward-moving air Oṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओं, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 嗡), inhale sharply and press down forcefully. Visualize abiding in the sound of Āḥ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Chinese literal meaning: 啊), and if you cannot bind the vase breath union immovably, then contract and press down. If you still cannot, then relying on the sound of Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 吽), gently exhale a subtle and long breath, but immediately
